I would be more afraid of that dog deciding to move the paw the infant is laying on than the teeth. The dog has no way of knowing that moving his paw, getting up, or randomly deciding to scratch himself might hurt the baby. Infants are incredibly fragile at this point.

Please take a biology course. Babies aren't that fragile.

If it hurts when a dog steps on my mouth or nose or eye, then OF COURSE a baby can be injured if you're stupid enough to put them in a place where the animal can unintentionally harm them. How on earth can you think otherwise??

You're right, I can't find anything on the internet that says that an infant's neck and head require extra support and care because they're fragile.

I see no peer reviewed evidence there.
Edit: oh, nevermind, you're clearly an expert

Wow, you're fucking stupid.

Good lord, its common sense. But if you want peer reviewed literature, here you go:
"As a practical matter of common safety, caution is required of a caretaker when picking up or generally moving an infant. Caretakers must provide head support to compensate for the fragility, laxity, and the lack of infant neck muscle strength since it provides minimal resistance to any externally induced relative motion between the head and the thorax.
The massive-head and weak-neck attributes of the infant create the potential for severe neck injury under certain dynamic conditions."

I always tell my dog to pick the baby up gently, whilst supporting the neck.

Dude, babies are made out of a Rubbermaid compound, except that one spot on their head. Then again that dog does look like a ravenous beast eager for baby blood to be shed. Tough call.
