No matter how sweet or well trained this dog may be it wouldn't be hard for him to accidentally hurt the baby. I wouldn't recommend trying this out.

Pitbulls were bred to be gentle with people. They are extremely careful around babies, kittens, and most anything "squishable".

My ex gf's pitbull was very docile to all people. Her mother brought in a kitten. The normally docile pitbull approached the kitten and without warning bit it, piercing the skull. The kitten died instantly on the kitchen floor with blood spurting out of the top of it's head.

That is a bad story, but it probably wasn't smart to just bring a random kitten into the house without introducing the two of them.

Well, they were trying to introduce it, but...

Introduce a pitbull with a kitten?

[–]HermanWebsterMudgett 0 ポイント1 ポイント

yes... all animals need to be introduced before bringing something into a home.

how happy would you be if someone just barged into your house, unannounced and someone you didn't know? Pretty sure there have been stories of being shooting others for entering their homes... you think that's any different just because one had intent while the other was just a kitten? Same context.

Dog was being territorial the way humans are......... how about thinking a little bit and putting yourself in a situation before making such a stupid and ignorant comment.
