"White piece of trash" Is a squatter who is obnoxious to neighbors in a house she didn't pay for and enjoys hucking bbq sauce at people

It's as if she's not smart.

The term is nigger.

Seeing how fast it's rising, stormfront is probably involved.

It really doesn't concern me that much. Before you downvote me, hear me out.

This historically racist term is being applied to three complete degenerates. They came into a nice neighborhood (note I do not know the race of the actual residents, they could be black, asian, white, whatever) and terrorized it and then tried to fight back against the authorities removing them from something that isn't even theirs. They are the ones who brought race into it as well by calling the reporter, who was doing her job and at the same time calling them out for their illegal activities, a "white piece of trash." Why can't "nigger" have the same sort of impact as that? What elevates "nigger" to a level of unspeakable words? I wouldn't call a law-abiding respectful black person a nigger just as most people wouldn't call a law abiding respectful white person a cracker or asian a chink.

The word has been given a completely ridiculous status due to historical uses and shouldn't be anything more than an insult. Which, in my opinion, these people completely deserve. Bad words are not acceptable in some settings, but this is the internet and with the understanding that this term is not being applied to all people of a race or group, but rather the extreme negative end of the spectrum and to these people in particular doesn't really bother me, same way I would accept someone calling me a "white piece of shit" for doing something that deserved that response.

    Okay, Hitler.

Oh please. Hitler disliked entire races and populations. I'm pretty sure it's okay to dislike an individual for their own personal actions.

Yeah obviously the news crew, neighbors and police were just oppressing them. /s

What total scumbags. I mean, I totally get why people squat and I totally get that they are probably not in the best financial shape, but what the hell?

If you are respectful neighbors, nobody is going to say shit. You'll be able to live rent free for a VERY long time, if you just keep the level of shit that you do in the neighborhood to a dull roar.

I have a vacant place in a decent neighborhood, not the best, but not the worst. Somebody snuck in through a window and stole two ceiling fans. They didn't ruin the carpet, break the window, kick in the door, etc. They even wired the lights underneath the fans back up. I wasn't even angry, the price of a couple of Home Depot special ceiling fans is nothing.

Meanwhile, these squatters probably trashed the place. Replacing carpet, fixing counters, cabinets, etc, can easily run into tens of thousands with people just trashing the place.

    [–]Brudus 13

It just amazes me that people can come into a home they don't own and claim they live there and the police can't do anything about it. How the hell do they laws get passed

I understand having Tenants rights, but I do not understand Squatters rights. If I just show up somewhere that is empty, fake a lease, I get to live there for a long time. That does not seem fair for the home owners (in this case the bank).

    [–]Dragoeth 3

To play devils advocate its to protect existing tenants. If there wasn't an eviction process, the landlord/owner could just one day decide he doesn't like you and come up with a fake story saying you moved into his house while he was out of town and get you thrown out. What if you lost your copy of the lease? Or what if you don't have one? Could create a lot of shitty situations. Especially if they throw you out right after you pay your first months rent and security deposit. Its not fair for the home owners the way it is now, but otherwise it would be unfair for tenants. No system is perfect unfortunately.

I definitely understand what your saying and the reasoning for the laws, and these laws are great for that purpose, but this point is ridiculous. These people were never existing tenants, and I've seen other similar squatter stories. Break into a house, lie and say you live there and you can stay living there for a little while.

    [–]Dragoeth 1

But you can't really PROVE that they aren't is the issue which is the diffiiculty. I can't PROVE that I've never met someone before, or spoken to them, or come to an agreement with them. Its all he said she said. Its a difficult situation but I can't really think of a way to fix the loop hole myself.

Then you could file charges for assault for throwing the drink, threat for shooting the news crew, and disturbing the peace.

With how severely underfunded the police force in Detroit is I doubt anything will happen.

it's a whole different matter if it's black on white crime, sad to say.

its not as cool as if a white person hits a black person with something. Black people do that shit on the reg so news got tired of reporting the same shit everyday. They def can't wait for a white man to fuck up.

technically if you get hit its battery. so the assault charge would be the threat of being shot. but getting hit is battery.

    [–]Uajdkosju 0

This is in Detroit. You can file any charges you want, police are still busy trying to get into certain areas and drag the bodies out.

It really depends on the neighborhood in which the crime took place. If someone gets shot in the ghetto area then the police wont bother responding. If someone got shot in a rich neighborhood, it will make every news channel.

How is entering a property that is not your own without the owner's permission not breaking and entering? I can't believe that "squatter's rights" is actually a thing. Why would degenerate scumbags who just help themselves to other people's property have any right whatsoever to remain on that property?

As long as no entry has been broken, meaning a door kicked in, or lock picked, or a window broke, then it is fine. Easy way to prevent this is to lock all your doors and windows and install a security system and security cameras. Or dig a moat around your house. That'll keep the squatters out cause they can't swim.

    Isn't it at least trespassing?

    [–]Sagemanx 1

These guy's are pretty shitty what's even shittier is how all the people from the racist subreddits came and hijacked the thread and are getting upvotes for it. LOL

"The actions of one white man does not represent all white men, just like the actions of one black man doesn't represent all black men, but there are subsets of race were stereotypes flourish, and if you are a part of these subsets, I have nothing but pity and unrelenting humor aimed at you. Race is such a last century argument." - Some random redditor from a year ago.

    [–]Lylac_Krazy 0 ポイント1 ポイント

screw squatter. I had a rental unit that was "overtaken" by a squatter. Police showed up and told her she could live there as her stuff was in the unit. Well, without her showing the police a lease, they told her she could enter the home any way she pleased.

I informed her and the police I was going to be in the living room with my shotgun and a .45. My suggestion was either she could leave, or the police would be back with the county coroner to pick up her body. Say what they want, but I OWN the house and have every right to be there also.

    [–]Glorfon -3

I've seen a lot of news stories about squatters recently. I can't help but feel like this there is a deliberate media narrative being built up to roll back squatters rights.

Squatting is legal and for good reason. It is meant to keep land and buildings in use by giving people a legal way to get access to disused properties. We have more vacant homes than homeless people in America, so even if these squatters are assholes I'm not going to cheer for Chase. They don't need any more empty foreclosed homes in their collection

In what way were they not nice neighbors? I'd like to hear from somebody who lives there and why they wanted them out. This is just a poorly put together news story.
