Mila Kunis Smacks Down A Reporter In Russian by Dvwtfin videos

[–]tiqs -1 ポイント0 ポイント

The reporter just asked 'Why did Justin decide to get into Movies.' - a normal question as I see it, and Mila tried to somehow tell her off for that...(I say tried because it took her like five tries to form a proper sentence, and could barely pronounce the words)? For people that understand Russian this is truly cringe-worthy.

The reporter asked 'Why did you decide to get into movies.' in a normal voice with no implications. Either Mila didn't understand, or she is an aggressive bitch. Either way, if you clearly can barely speak a language maybe you shouldn't be assuming people are attacking someone only based on intonation. Cringe-worthy stuff.

Putin Paying People To Post Pro-Russia Propaganda In Comments by putupyourdukesin worldnews

[–]tiqs -1 ポイント0 ポイント

Let's forget our current hatred of everything Russia for a moment and think about this logically:

These are western websites, almost all readers of which are westerners. It doesn't even make sense for Russia to spend money to try and manipulate their comments, not only because they are quite unimportant for Russia's propaganda system, but because the propaganda systems of the western countries are richer, and have a much greater interest in these sites.

Let's take reddit for example (because I've been seeing a lot of people calling people Russian shills):

Reddit is an American site with with almost all of the visitors being from Western countries.

Reddit is the 392nd most popular site in Russia based on a combination of average daily visitors and pageviews. 1.0% of the Reddit users come from Russia and they generate 0.5% of the pageviews on Reddit.

http://www.appappeal.com/maps/reddit

Manipulating the comments on Reddit is simply not important for Russia whatsoever. Nor does the evidence support that this is happening, take a look at any of the popular Russia/Ukraine threads in worldnews - almost all of the comments are anti-Russia and Russia supporters are buried in downvotes.

So maybe it's time to accept that some people just have different opinions than you.

Switzerland has frozen $193 million in Ukrainian assets by sdfadsfin worldnews

[–]tiqs 1 ポイント2 ポイント

Actually it is illegal, and the reference you posted clearly states so. It just isn't considered a criminal offence.

First of all Switzerland has a special definition of tax evasion, and separates tax-related offences into two categories; 'tax evasion' and 'tax fraud', which would be the same in most other countries. Secondly, there are different laws regarding citizens and non-citizens.

Since 1983, enforcement assistance is provided (such as the search and seizure of accounts and documents) for the prosecution of fiscal crimes (notably, tax fraud) but not for the prosecution of fiscal misdemeanours (notably, tax evasion).[57] Under pressure from the G20 and the OECD, the Swiss government announced in March 2009 that it will abolish the distinction between tax fraud and tax evasion in dealings with foreign clients. The Swiss authorities will from now on also provide judicial assistance in the event of tax evasion by a foreign client.[58] The distinction remains valid for domestic clients.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_evasion_in_Switzerland#Tax-related_criminal_law

Banking secrecy, however, does not protect any form of tax offence. With the globalisation of financial markets and in particular the current financial crisis, international cooperation in tax matters has become increasingly important. The Federal Council will actively continue to support efforts in this regard.

China bans import of British Cheese after its inspectors condemned hygiene standards at just one UK dairy by XKryptonitein worldnews

[–]tiqs 0 ポイント1 ポイント

Well, nobody will ban products from other countries just because people would be forced to buy local products. The reason I gave was to promote domestic industry. And I do think that having a strong, independent, domestic food industry is a good thing for any country.

Here is why:

1) Food is a necessity of life, it's a good idea to not be dependent on imports of such things for many reasons.

2) Most common food products (like cheese, milk, bread) are fairly easy to produce anywhere in the world. This is not the 15th century where not everybody had the skills, technology, and where climate mattered a great deal more.

3) Efficiency is more and more important every day. Local goods require less transportation, less storage, no tariffs, do not depend on inter-state relations. Efficiency is not only important economically, but environmentally as well.

4) The government of the country has more control over the products that are produced there. This means it is easier to enforce health and quality standards that exist in the country.

that makes your legitimacy go down and would hurt in other economic areas too

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'legitimacy', but I am of the opinion that the government of a country has the obligation to work to improve the quality of life for its own citizens and worrying about 'other economic areas' is secondary to any issues that may exist in their own country.

The aggressive push for 'free trade' and laissez faire capitalism in what we now know as the third world is what created the terrible conditions in those countries in the first place. The prosperous western countries have A LOT more trade and domestic regulations than any third world country, and the recent protectionist policies in China are one of the reasons why the standard of living there is slowly improving.

But, is there a point you are trying to make?

You do understand that their are laws in Switzerland for banks to report any suspicious activity that may imply money laundering or tax evasion, right?

These laws are blatantly unenforced, except at the behest of the United States.

Not that the fact that the banks are 'private companies' is an excuse really.

Nobody is asking you to eat cheese from China, and I'm not saying anything about the quality of their cheese, just that this helps promote their domestic cheese industry.

A cute gesture, but lets not forget that they are the ones storing this money for such people in the first place, as well as hundreds of billions of dollars for other dirty politicians and corporations. The argument that they didn't know beforehand is silly, once you have the financial data it would be trivial to make the connections, especially for Swiss bankers.

Also do you think that this 'dirty/stolen' money is going back to Ukraine? Lets just remember what happened with Libya - http://counterpsyops.com/2012/11/03/who-pocketed-gaddafi-libya-s-billions/ .

All there is to say is that this is a smart move by China, regardless of the reason. A strong, domestic food industry is important for any nation, especially China. It's interesting to see people upset over this for some reason though. What obligation does China have to import anything from any country? Not to mention this is ultimately good for both countries, as cheese is relatively cheap and easy to produce, and just the decrease in transportation and storage benefits both countries, and, to a smaller degree, the world.

Does the value of the Dogecoin ever go up? by Potatoeater567in dogecoin

[–]tiqs 1 ポイント2 ポイント

The 'value' is just the relation of the 'demand' for dogecoin. This is closely tied to the usefulness of the currency. By themselves most crypto-currencies are completely useless, but as time goes on an the acceptance of crypto-currency as a means of payment becomes more mainstream, (which, I think, is inevitable) their usefulness and value will greatly increase.

Basically there is little usefulness in doge and most other crypto-currencies right now, because there is very little anyone can do with them (other than trading for other currencies). Most crypto-currencies are only useful as a means of trading and storing other currencies.

The values mostly fluctuate because of speculation over value. Many of the newer coins are complete scams (especially most PoS coins) their purpose is that of pump-and-dump.

That being said, Doge seems like a good coin because of its relative stability, fairness, and good community. I think Doge is a good investment if you are looking for something long-term and safe. Otherwise you should try and ride the daily pump-and-dump waves of the shitty coins like blackcoin and communitycoin.
