Most of what I know about feminism is self taught.  I learned a ton on Tumblr actually, reading the writing of other bloggers.  I especially learned a ton about racism on here, since my experience has obviously been very limited as a white girl with only a handful of PoC friends growing up in a fairly segregated city.  I also knew virtually nothing about genders outside the cis binary before joining this site.
I did go to college but I only took three social-justice related classes.  My internships were never initially social justice-focused but they ended up that way, so I learned a ton through my volunteer and intern experiences too.  But you don’t have to go to college to be smart!!  And graduating from college doesn’t mean you are smart!!  Just a reminder.  George W. Bush graduated from Yale ;)
