well no...your intent wasn't for anyone to comment, and generally that rule is followed...and when it is broken it is usually followed by one or two people trying to correct or explain a position with no extreme downvoting or trolling and very little name-calling.

I consider brigading what magic sky fairy and circle jerk and cringepics and a bunch of other subs use to do to /r/atheism almost weekly. Not "hmmm, I feel I should say something in this place that was linked from this other place...let me and only me say something while not downvoting anyone who disagrees with me as that's not what the downvote is for."

Apparently there are various different definitions of "brigading" on reddit.

Did. Can't find anything regarding commenting in threads linked as non participation. That was a quick skim though. Will reread unless you can link me directly.

Edit: it seems to not exist in the reddiquette wiki. Checking the sidebar of this sub now.

Yes I read that. Couldn't find anything regarding what you said I violated.

So I'm asking you to show me what I violated. It isn't in the wiki. It isn't in the sidebar. If it does exist as a rule somewhere (rule, not suggestion, as you implied it was a general rule) then it isn't easy to find and I don't think the average user should be required to Google non participation links before commenting on something. Especially if the reddiquette AND the sidebar don't specifically mention it.

Unless shown otherwise I think you were completely and utterly wrong.
