yikes. You could try talking normally. Are you auditioning for script writing here?

Nice sentiment, but completely superfluous language and talk makes it seem like you're taking advantage of a sad situation to exhibit your wanna-be creative writing skills.

There is no way to talk other than what reflects your person.

Some examples:

  • damn, one of the world's best managers, he looks so sad :(

  • on this day we see a titan become a mortal

  • to see him, he hurts like a friend might

There should be no use of the world 'normal' in my opinion. It has no merit when it comes to language.

Although I do agree there is a hint of ego in the OP's post, I don't think they meant to exploit the incident intentionally.

You think the language is superfluous? You do know what superfluous means right?

Normally, I'm restricted by two things when typing:

  • Reddit. Because I am either on the toilet, typing on my s4 or just usually not interested enough to put thought into my comments

  • Work. I can't be prolific and expansive when writing for work. I work in stats and employ journalistic writing

Sometimes, however, I am moved enough to actually type with though as I do when I speak. This is one of those times. There is nothing 'wanna-be' or exploitative about my writing. I guess you're the type of guy who sees a plate of food created by Robuchon and complain about the quantity or the purposeful positioning of the food.

Not gonna lie, this is a little pretentious and I'm with /u/EFGsugit. Sorry, but someone's death and someone else's grief is not the classiest place to namedrop your shitty phone or some fine restaurant. Just like you really wouldn't say these things in person at a funeral. Just a matter of respect.

[–]Spainjoevaded -2 ポイント-1 ポイント

What is this talk about a phone or a restaurant? It is an example. I made a sincere and heartfelt comment and one guy is talking about a script and you're talking about advertising... you know what wouldn't be said in a funeral? Your comment and /u/EFGsugit 's. I have to assume I'm talking to teenagers or people with the social skills to understand varying form of communications or interactions with adults.

Your last sentence just didn't make any sense. I'm convinced you wear a fedora with your 2009 Manchester United shirt.

Whatever floats your boat. You're the one getting your panties in a jumble over imagined things and assumptions. Must be a slow Saturday for you.

I like it that you compare your writing to Robuchon's cooking. One's gotta respect one's own work. I compare my writing to Dexter's serial murdering. I like you, Joe.

I get what you mean. "Men, even the greatest of them, ache and grieve." Guardiola is no different from any other guy who's just lost a very dear friend and shouldn't be summed up like his life is a Greek tragedy.

The ellipsis is the worst part 'Today though...Today.' It reads like a book, not like real life. It's like an obituary written by Russell Brand, all style, no substance & no sincerity whatsoever.

[–]Spainjoevaded 0 ポイント1 ポイント

I'm a dude on a toilet. Make whatever judgements you may want... but you're a dude going full blown critic using nothing substantial but you're own 'expert' opinion on a dude on a toilet. Congrats.

[–]Chelseatastycakeman -1 ポイント0 ポイント

Hey now, I actually like Russell Brand when he's on topic and talking about West Ham.

[–]Carolina RailhawksEFGsugit -2 ポイント-1 ポイント

Yeah you're exactly right. Is a dude who saw an extremely emotional topic and knew by going all Charles Dickens he's rack the upvotes. Some poor schmuck even gave him gold.
