Go and get your money back.  They should give a refund if they "ruined" your hair.  That's ridiculous.

They redyed it, and it's still really really bad.

After the second time he just moved onto another client.

I could cry. I splurged on a really nice salon and all they did was judge me for using colors, and make me look terrible.

There are a lot of places they missed entirely and are bleached out. sad

The owner of the salon was the opposite of accommodating, he in fact wanted to charge me for blow drying my own hair

It ought be a last resort, but perhaps you need to actually be a bitch about it?

Tell me you paid for it with your credit/debit card? wink

Stand in front of the salon with a sign saying they did your hair.

1) why did you blow dry your own hair in a salon?

2) why the fuck would he charge for it?

Damn I was following your posts on fb waiting for epic pics!

If you paid with a card call and cancel it. It's like a stop check.

If you didn't, the BBB may be able to help.

Unfortunately, there are places with that attitude, they have their money, they don't care.

Did you pay cash or credit card?  Perhaps you can dispute the charge.

Be sure to get good photos to document the damage and poor job, especially if you can show some sort of negligence on their part.

Oh, and I'm sorry.  sad

It was an extra $18 to blowdry, so I just did ( or started to do) it myself, they stopped me saying I'd be charged.

I used cash because I'm a retard.

How?  Just go do it.

Bring someone with you for moral support, if confrontation isn't your thing, but you need to go in and demand it back.

Try not being a bitch, at first, but if they refuse...insist.

More than once.  "You need to give me my money back."

Take pictures and post them on YELP with a review.

Websites like Yelp are great for this reason. Take photos and post them on there and give a review of your experience. Often times it brings owner to giving into what you want just so you will remove your post.

What do you do, just run out of the salon? They know who I am, my stepmother gets her hair blown out there once a week.

I'm not surprised that they stopped you from grabbing the hairdryer and doing it yourself.

But yea...they should fix that shit.

If she left without paying, they probably could have called the cops on her for theft of services, and then she'd be stuck in a jail cell, with bad hair.   I don't see how that would be a better situation.

At this point, your best recourse is for them to feel pressure, and feel it is in their best interest to refund your money.

You may want to have your stepmother call them and say that she will pull her business, and her friends will also... basically they need to realize that treating you right will be in their financial best interest.

Unfortunately, there are places out there, and owners out there who won't care, even with that, and there really isn't much you can do, aside from taking them to small claims court, but you'd probably need to show they did something wrong, something more than your hair looking bad.

You refuse.  Just stand your ground.  If they want your money, they have to fix it, or you will not pay, and you will not leave.

They do NOT want you standing they making a huge stink in front of their other high-paying customers.

I wanted to see what the color was. How can you get your hair colored and leave not knowing what color it is when it's dry?

Assert that you will not pay for "this".

If they want to get paid, they have to "fix it".

A little late now, but you have the bargaining power when you still have your money.

I don't think the salons I go to generally charge for that...or if they do, it's not a lot

I did that the first time and they redyed it.

I guess I don't want to seem like I'm just trying to get out of paying? I'd much rather have my head fixed, but obviously they either don't have the quality product or skill to make that happen.

I had my own dye with me, in case they didn't carry wild colors, the could have just used my stuff if theirs wasn't holding. I mentioned it and was told it wasn't allowed.

I'm flying to Florida at 7am tomorrow so there is absolutely nothing I can do right now at all. I'm going down for my cousins wedding and I thought it would be nice to look all freshly dyed.

I'm sorry that this happened to you.

There is recourse for you.
Go to them and get your money back.
If they don't help go to the BBB, yelp and as many pro consumer websites you can find.

If you talk to them directly and they are unhelpful, then the internet gives you the whole world to know how un-friendly and unhelpful they are. You are not powerless in this situation, there has never been a better time for wronged-customers to publicize bad companies.

Don't Panic

Having a client leave with bad hair doesn't make them look bad?

It depends how bad it is.

I can safely say that I've never seen cops at a salon.

I wouldn't go there, anyway, because I refuse to spend more than $15 on my hair.  I just want to read their YELP reviews.  lol

I just checked yelp. Only three reviews, two good, one terrible, zero about dyed hair, or the guy who worked on me today.

....it does mention them being sketchy with pricing though neutral

It sucks to have to do that, but if they fucked up, you deserve your money back. Stand your ground. Start out nice, and if nice doesn't cut it.......

Sorry about your hair. That's one of the worst feelings when you pay money to have your hair royally fucked... Hair prostitution ftl.
