Call of Duty 4 is a first person shooter that puts you in the middle of intense war situations and that includes a multi-player mode.
The game detaches itself from World War II unlike the previous game's versions and takes place in more modern times. The story is set in the year 2011 when a radical leader had executed the president of some Middle Eastern country and a radical nationalist movement starts a civil war in Russia.
The events are experienced from the perspective of an American reconnaissance unit and British SAS and unfold in different locations such as England, the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine. The game also includes a multi-player mode and a leveling system that makes more weapons, attachments and skills available as the player advances.
