Mother 4 is a traditional RPG set in an idealized vintage America, following the adventures of a young boy and the leader of a biker gang, who get caught up in the whirlwind events surrounding a group calling themselves the Modern Men.
Travis
Travis is the main protagonist of Mother 4, born in the hilly lake community of Belring. Caught in the comfortable shadow of his older brother Zack, Travis doesn't put a lot of effort into being anything but average. His relaxed demeanor is comforting to those around him, and he remains a person with his own kind of potential.
Meryl
Meryl may be dainty, but she's not afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to accomplishing her goals. Where others may worry about losing their way, Meryl always sees the light in things. Gifted with the ability to tell the future, there's more to her optimism than most people would assume.
Leo
Leo is a leader at heart, and reigns over his turf alongside his friends and atop his trusty motorcycle. He may seem a little shady, but he's as dependable as they come. A man of few words and fewer moments of patience, Leo would probably have been voted most likely to get things done if he was the type to stay in school.
Floyd
Ever the popular one, Floyd's charm and wit are enough to beguile friend and foe alike. He's quick to become frustrated, is a bit closed minded, and has difficulty adapting to new situations - but he's got more than enough courage to make up for it. Floyd's high self-esteem is enough to drag him and his friends through even the toughest situations.
