Lost long file names when copying or moving files

Use a full 32-bit application such as Windows Explorer for managing the files on your computer. If you are using a program that does not have 32-bit support, such as File Manager, it does not support long filenames.

A Windows program that does not support long file names will convert the file to the 8.3 format, which is an eight characters long file name, and three characters file long file extension.
