!!!

*kneels & bows to the ground & doesn't get up* i'm sorry for not blogging
It's now november!!! Half a month has passed since my last post and I have so many overdue posts like about 5 different tour group pictures, start of Year 2.2 sem, Halloween, my shit modules, shit happenings and some pretty good shit happenings.

But I don't think i have the time or energy to update anything right now because SCHOOL. makes me beyond tired. how to people manage to juggle so many things at once with so much energy?? I can't even write a proper blog post when i only have 2 projects on-going.

It's probably going to become 3 projects soon though because I really want to participate in the IFFTI competition (grand prize is literally my dream come true!!!! i can study in Bunka for a week! imagine all the good things that could come out of that *tears*)

1. MacBook Pro died and revived. I am now so happy and i was dealing with all the settings and everything's customized and it's like a new baby. I'm gonna cherish it and treat it well from now on :c
2. Halloween was meh this year. Didn't really dress up. Seriously can't wait to spend it in Japan some time soon.
3. Recently i've been questioning my catholicism. I did not choose this religion and was born into and obligingly attend compulsory masses but i never really did have enough faith and neither does my mum (or so it seems) but yet she still forces us to go (she doesn't even want to say the rosary together is she even holy)
4. I haven't been able to get back to school work with a 100% drive. I think i lost some of them somewhere. Yaruki ga nai. And I still expect my GPA to go up (jesus bless me)
5. Out of touring i've made some really good friends, been to some really good places, and i hope to revisit all of em when I have the time to.
6. I know no one in my new Transnational Studies module, except natali cause she's the only one from ADM this is either rly exciting or another round of social reclusing
7. Just removed all the hair on my legs and it's unbelievably soft i can't stop touching them
8. Did my roots! New-ish hair. Check instagram for daily andrea 8) web.stagram/n/andrealauraer
9. It turns out that I didn't make any exceptionally good japanese friends from touring, but friendship needs to be bred what am i expecting out of a one day thing! Hahaha.

10. New macbook desktop wallpaper I absolutely must show y'all!!! Makes me feel so comforted and at home.

Kay ima go back to reality T_T
bye noodles x

15/oct soai joshikou

15th October | Soai Girl's HS, Osaka
Was slightly unfortunate to have been assigned to a group that did not have many similar interests as me and were pretty darn unenthusiastic about the whole touring Singapore thing. It's pretty hard to tour them well when they don't care where they go, don't care what they eat (end up eating snacks only) and don't buy anything from shops. I'm sad. Haha. But every tour is fun in it's own way, and this particular group were a bunch of very dear and quiet girls. It was the first time a group didn't wanna say bye to me so soon LOL (that sounds like a bad thing?)
And anyway I learnt a lot from them! It's the first girl's school I've guided, and they said that lots of students here have boyfriends from outside. Where the hell do they get to meet so many boys? School exchanges? (The girl on my right, in a white top has a boyfriend of 4 years!!! Oh my god like???? Now I think the reason why I don't have one is because i just cannot)

It was a really tiring day. I didn't pick thick enough socks, so I got blistered really quick. When I finally said bye to my group, i (finally omg FINALLY) sat down with the other tour guides. We all just lepak there and chat and nua (BEST PART OF EVERY TOUR DAY because we're always so tired and we have 6 hours worth of stories to tell)

Today was really special. At least, 3-7pm was XD
Sitting down, talking shouting laughing screaming, halfway through a bunch of 4 Soai girls stopped nearby us and kept looking over (kua simi kua) and they played jan ken pon and the loser came over to ask us (nah just kimi)............

"Visual kei suki desu ka"

After that the screaming got ten times louder and jumping and fangirling and hugging and handshaking and eyes lighting up and MY GOD IDK IT WAS LIKE AN OVerseas fan meet up session i just stared at all the jrock fans squealing

and maybe after 30m they dragged chairs over and sat down with us and had sort of a meeting like..... chat
oh my god we made jrock/anime/BL/jpop/ANIME FAN FRIENDS
and we hugged when saying bye.

1. when self-introducing everyone else used their japanese cosplay name and i was the last to introduce and it went like, "yumi, setsu, riyuu, haru, to..." "an-do-re-a" fml lol atmosphere change 180
2. haru has this thing for ossans. there was one bald sensei that looked like a qualified ossan, who also whipped his head back at our group when kimi was singing jrock songs. so we assumed he likes jrock.
so then when he walked nearby i asked him, sensei jrock shiteru? and he doesn't, says we're from different generations. then we shot hyde, l'arc, smap HAHAHHAHA. best part is........ i ask what he teaches. it turns out to be P.E. and we're like kinda excited that we guessed it right.
"fi shi ka ru e ju ke shon" and then i pointed at haru and said that he's her type. and that she likes ossan.
and then he said he's not an ossan HE'S LIKE JUST 32. wtf he doesn't even look 32 pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kimi was literally on the floor rolling and laughing and i think the sensei is creeped out by me now.
3. and then on the way home we made up more lame jokes for future use. i'm going to write a list of them gags in a notebook

i don't even need to jump over a rainbow i'm alr riding one wtf i was so happy

shiranai hito, deepa haru vernice me riyuu/celine(hidden) murasaki and kimi
starring two ossan at the back

today was a great day

*dumps the bunch of pictures that hasn't seen the light of day in weeks here*
(actually only days)

4th October
Went to the premiere of Kamenashi Kazuya's Ore Ore at filmgarde Bugis with xing rui! That gargantuan poster is currently suntanning on my wardrobe slide door.

9th October | Fukuyama High School (Hiroshima)
Sneakily took a photo of my second group walking >:) Cute bunch of girls from a mixed school.
Bottom right (Kame-chan) gave me a Kanjani 8 keychain after knowing that I like Nishikido Ryo!! SO damn sweet omg I think of her and this group now everytime I see the keychain! Ranran on the rightest is super friendly too, was great talking to her.
in a random shop in 313 somerset where i put on a really cute/stupid hat and started taking pictures hahahah! These two girls were funny in their own ways with a bunch of inside jokes
selfie with the girl who reminded me of AKB!! she's quite pretty :')
t'was a good tour day that day. they(yuka and kame) bought 300g of bak kwa back to singapore as souvenirs. mission accomplish!!!! i should ask them how it was!!!! *opens Line*
okay i just sent them a question i hope they're still awake ouo
update: they haven't eaten it :s
update: ooooh!! she said her dad ate it deliciously while drinking sake! so happy yuka's dad likes it yokatta *PHEW* also, that's an interesting way to enjoy bak kwa... i told her to try it in a sandwich :3

11th October | Gunma Chuo Secondary School
a mixed group of 4 girls and two guys! the guys were much shyer than the girls. in fact today's group was the quietest so far! but they were all so very cute ^3^
this group had unusually cute names - momoko and moeko.
and the kanji for moeko's name is literally the same kanji as the ones they use in maid cafe's
MOEKO. MOMOKO. KAWAIIII
moe girl, peach girl

also, they're the first group in their own clothes! nao and moeko (two leftest) were friends since kindergarten apparently, which was kinda like naruhodo after seeing them hold hands the whole day. they're so cute together, like twins!
we had lunch at arab st's Blu Jaz today (yes finally went back there!) and as always i tell them about shisha.. and when we got nearer to the area they were like "aah ii nioi da!" and i was like yeah qurl that the sweet smell of shisha ahhahaha. definitely going back there, it's now one of my personal recommendations :')
also, another cho omoshiroi to mezurashii highlight: somewhere in wisma nao wanted to shop in The Face Shop so they waited outside.......where there was a push cart selling hair curling irons. When I was done helping nao translate her shopping experience i came out and found them wow-ing over hitomi's new curls......... they've never seen hair curling rods before! school doesn't allow them to perm or curl hair D:

okei.
don't think i'm going to bother typing all the tour deets online haha.

after the tours, I made friends with 5 other guides, some happened to be cosplayers.
*more cosers to add to my list* >:)
they were super fun to sit down and have two semi-meals with AHAHAHA lots of glorious joke

2/OCT

Imma try to summarize my first tour day into something short and sweet!! A group of 6 guys from Shobarakakuchi HS in Hiroshima and *cough* from class 2-2 *cough*

After self introductions they showed me this itinery that they had planned out beforehand (AH how nice) and I ended up keeping it muahahaha

Actual journey: Hotel Grand Chancellor (Little India) -walk- Masjid Sultan -walk- Arab St -bus- Bugis Junction -MRT- People's Park (Chinatown) -walk- Chinatown St -MRT- Orchard -walk- Lucky Plaza - Taka - Wisma - FEP - DFS

Notable Highlights of the day

- I got pulled in to take Japanese-like photos with the guys (like some train pose where we lined up in a row and i was infront AYE HOW EMBARASSING but it's normal for them and as tourists it's ok too sooooo)
- We exchanged contacts and a bunch of knowledge on culture and all that
- Apparently I'm popular ahahhahaha (this is kind of new to me cause I haven't been mixing around freely with guys ever since 2011, blame my diploma course for being so feminine hahaha)
- Throughout the day I was consistently walking in the wrong way for 2 minutes then turning right way round, ugh kinda made me angsty because I made them walk quite a bit and they were real tired. Plus they were carrying so many souvenirs!
- I-i learnt Hiroshima dialect! Just a bit tho
- One of them is in a band that is also of the same name as my online name like whaaat
- I did quite a lot of stupid things, I think I should control myself more lol
- Was also consistently not finishing my japanese sentences because I suck

oh, one of them finally posted trip photos on his facebook! seriously don't know if i can take the photo and post it here so imma just put it reeeal small HAHAHAHA

(click to blow it up)

he's the tallest one and is a really kind/gentle guy. who also has a gf, apparently. (i failed as a guide when he asked if this shop has phone keychains for couples and i looked around and eventually said no)
I actually didn't make much conversation with the quieter guys.....another failing point of mine. *disappointed* i'll do better the next time!!

I want to post a group photo but I haven't found any yet SIGH ok i think i'm done summarizing, i'm way too lazy to write everything in detail but if any of you are reading this and you're my friend in real like JUST SHOOT ME A QUESTION AND I CAN TALK FOR 3 HOURS STRAIGHT!!!!! yep.

ok. bai! (will post group photo soon! wish me luck in finding one haha)

お久しぶり

I haven't been blogging much, if any at all. Since the start of September (let the slew of excuses commence) I've been slow in updating anything online due to fashion-show-amount of workload. Even after the show, (22 Sept) I didn't even bother writing a post D:

And it's now the 3rd of October (Happy October! A month that promises chiller weather).
The show's ended. Us interns wanted to have testimonials written for portfolio/resume and I can't seem to start on it. Yesterday was the first day I was a tour guide for japanese students. Needless to say I gained a lot of exp (+99 exp level up!!! hahaha) and I made friends and I'm guessing that the first time's always the most memorable.

I'm signed up for October tour dates:
2nd, 9th, 11th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th. Sounds like a lot of work ha ha ha.
Shall I now go into the deets of yesterday's virgin tour experience!? No okay let's leave that for a separate post!!!!
See ya soon

Closure.

For the fashion show event we did on the 22nd of September, Podium Lounge.

Friday of week 2 - Mooncake Festival
This officially marks my second week working at Triumph. So much has happened I don't even know if I can write it all out! I've been up to my neck with work that I don't even have time to tweet now. I bet I only use 2 hours a day on internet. It sucks cuz I feel disconnected from my social groups, and it doesn't help how I'm stuck in an office building for 8-14 hours per day. The  building isn't too bad though, it has it's perks! So does the people I work with - they're both fun and pressurizing.
This monday we held a casting session with models from mannequin and looque for the F1 fashion show. Hot faces overload. Stick thin girls, busty women, suave guys. Ahhhhh the korean dude was my favourite. His body was real goooood especially his spine curve.
[upload casting photos]
On tuesday us 4 interns did our first OT. until 10pm. I don't even remember what we were d- ahhhhh i remember now, embellishing the red lingerie set.Um...... Man I don't remember anything else

Today/friday/mooncake festival day we were forced to learn a zumba dance and to perform for the celebration.......My god. OL colleagues came to our room and asked everyone to go. They might've came in over 3 times. "They want all females to fall in at the conference room, dance instructor is here." Don't forget the cold harsh tones.
I was dreading this because even though I used to dance, I really had a lot of work that I couldn't pause. I was halfway through draping and sewing a long skirt. Wtf.Then here comes the part I was most angsty over. This woman, that asked us to go over to the dance room was sitting in her cubicle. On the way to the room, I realize that most of these asshole OLs are just..... casually doing their work. What-the-fuck. I SERIOUSLY thought everyone was supposed to participate.During dance practise break I went up to that woman who asked ALL FEMALES to bloody fall in and I asked her, "Hey are you not dancing?" She asked me to repeat so I said Are you not participating in the dance?
And she said she wasn't, because she's too busy. Shit you, our team is the busiest ones here. The fashion show is a week away, we've got only half the shit done, and you can be sitting there chatting to children clicking away at your keyboard anD ASKING US INTERNS TO GO DANCE. WE HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO.........The dancers ended up becoming only our team and some higher ups. I had a feeling that everyone made us participate the dance to ridicule us. Why us only? Fuck youuuuuu. Shini (ma gang leader) was also saying aiya ok

Well that was written ages ago.
The work had gotten harder, we did 2-3 model castings, a fitting and a walking rehearsal. The adrenaline's passed, the hype's gone too. The show's now over.

It was a great learning experience. Never expected myself to become something almost like an in-house fashion designer when I applied for this job. Many of the pieces on the catwalk were embellished/sewn by me! Real proud. Lifestyle Asia has posted great pictures of the fashion show's night. Let me just throw relevant ones here aye.

made these two grey mesh skirts!
the material was so hard to sew, twas the bane of my existence
made these scarves too! there are two of each. not very proud of the thin scarf but it's okay.
this my friends!!! is the one and only Shini!!!!! *big applause* the person who was directly in charge of us 4 interns aka our leader hahahha.
beside her is Hose and Michelle, the two most well-liked models of the model line up. Some of the models were bitches way out of what I thought bitches would be. Pretty damn mean, but I wouldn't expect any less of this industry.

(View all images hi-res here)
I didn't post many of the pictures but do look through! Beatrice and I embellished the back of the red velvet cape with a gorgeous forest of peacock feathers, but sadly I haven't seen any official photos of it back view. :(

The higher ups were really pleased with our performance throughout the 3 weeks and wanted us back for an internship. Aww, real sweet. If I had a choice, I wouldn't though, only because I want to do something more hands on/design centric. if i do go back for an internship, all i'd be doing is reports after reports. Then some scanning and maybe a meeting or two.

Oh well! Been a good September, producing this show, starting from scratch! If not for is I doubt there would be this much bling on the lingerie pieces and that may props and styling accessories.

Happy that I've got to be a part of this!!!
Thank you triumph, valisere, HOM,
Dhillon, Rachel, Mikeller, Elaine,
Beatrice, Melissa, Jasmine
and most of all Shini!

Now, back to hibernation.

Quickie

This job is squeezing the absolute most out of me. So many things to do and catch up on. so many things to rectify, so many things to take note of.

I don't have Me Time. No time to myself. This is probably more serious than school days because now I only spend 15 minutes travelling from work to home and not the usual one hour. (thank god tho)

I actually have time to update and collate my feels now, in the middle of work. In the toilet shitting. I don't even have time to shit nowadays hhahhahhh anyway this morning I cooked scrambled eggs hashbrown sausages with biscuits and cherry tomatoes! Yum. I suspect its the sour cream that gives me the runs.

Ok I need to go back T_T
