The police say they've broken up a triad gang active in Kowloon east and arrested nearly 60 people including 13 secondary school students. The arrests cap a three-month long undercover operation. Senior detective superintendent Eugene Yue said the gang recruited youngsters as drug couriers and to act as triad enforcers. He says the group's also suspected to have been involved in illegal gambling as well as prostitution. During the operation the police seized a host of weapons, including knives and iron bars.
