If you are experiencing a coal mining-related emergency threatening life, property, or the environment, first call 911. You should also contact local law enforcement, emergency agencies, and/or the local surface coal mining regulatory authority in your area. After local officials have been informed and are responding, please call the appropriate OSM manager depending on which state you are calling from. If you are in:
