Only after their initial appearance.

They play them 100% straight the first time they show up

Seed Destiny just lucked out that it's first showing was in Scramble Commander 2 : so most people only experienced it for the first time in SRW with Z

That's why Code Geass was so hard to swallow in Z2, because they played it nearly completely straight with the "fix" barely being much better.

The only translated SRW I've played is SRWJ. (Other than OG 1 & 2). All I know is J took the plot of a bad show, and made it work. I don't even know if Alpha 2 was translated or not. All I can say is the game I played made Brain Powered Decent, and that's a feat.

I don't actually remember J doing anything with it other than cutting down the conversation (which means less incredibly roundabout explanations for stuff which is one of the biggest flaws of the show), but that might be because I haven't played J in a while and that I watched that show after the game.

It'll be cool if they finish up the rest of TTGL's plot, too bad TTGL itself will probably be avaliable for even less time than Valcazard was in W. And if STTGL is in at all it'll only be as an attack. Hell, TTGL might only be an attack for Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann.

As long as Big O is still in it and it's on the PS3 I don't care what else happens, delicious 2nd OG-tier animations are all I want.

Sorry guys, but 11/28 has nothing to do with the announcement of Z3. It's just the release date of Infinite Battle. That is the promotional plan for that game. From what I can see,it just say that they plan to have specials on dangeki online for the next 6 months that will be about several srt games(not only Z3,but even OE,MK3 and Infinite Battle). Anyway,it could always be a fake

IMHO it will be based expecially on the originals. Some plot for the old series is still missing, and with 5 more sphere holders and Baan still out there's there's a lot of original plot to cover

My prediction is sequel of some Z series...Endless Waltz,Eureka AO,Aquarion Evol. Then They will probably use a new gundam series

Way to derp out.

First of all the image is NOT referring to Z3, but something else (the title being not in the image) that is being RELEASED on 11/28 (発売予定). Note how TGS 2013 is fucking right there under September which kind of suggests the image is for this year.

The stuff about Z2 just says that they're going to carry out promotional stuff on Dengeki Online for six months, and Z3 will be covered there.

>tfw Gaiking and GxS both missed the boat for Z

I guess Dimensional Fuckery dilutes the point, but GxS feels like it should've been in Z1 and GLODM would've worked so well in Z2 paired with Gurren Lagann it's not funny.

I'd love to see them both in Z3, sure- I could use another Dann of Thursday and Gaiking The Great rampage in my life- but I don't think they're happening.

Of course, I've been wrong before...

For you, that is. Actually, I'd say it was easier to handle, for a couple of reasons. One, simply by giving you an option to skip the last few episodes. Two, because earlier parts of the story were mixed in pretty well with other shows. Just because they didn't turn everything on its head doesn't justify ignoring positive details, unless you simply irrationally hate it.

That's asking for too much! When was the last time did romance points play a role in SRW, Alpha?

Also, wouldn't that make those BETA a strain of Jigenjuu/Dimensional-Beasts? How would those pesky Laser-types be handled (kills any airborne units, low HP, behind massive swarm forcing your long-range allies to circle the field and snipe them)?

There was that one mission in SRW A where you assault cannon from Nadesico that OHKOs any unit that happens to be in the air during the enemy phase. It was pretty interesting to have this sort of mission.
But I can see that it also can be tiring to have such missions often if they make Laser class instantly take down any airborne unit.

Yeah, I was thinking of that on how those Laser Types can be handled. Other BETAs will probably have infinite respawn when reduced to a certain number.

Thinking up of a strategy of taking the Laser-types kinda makes me reminisce of F's Getter-2's Drill Arm (4 ammo but range is 1~7): burrow underground, head to a safe place to snipe the laser types.

There's probably won't be too many new series, since the cast list is already overburdened to hell. Eureka AO and Aquarion Evol are both basically shoe-ins. Maybe ZZ and Unicorn. Besides that, I wouldn't really count on there being much in the way of new series.

Female Personality Archetypes: Childhood Friend, Tsundere, Kuudere, Dandere, Ojou-sama, Strict/ClassRep

The picture is timeline how B.B studio going to do promotional stuff from august to december.
Stuff like when PV going to be aired, website placing, search engine partnership, gaming website/magazine info.
The OG anime probably re-run or broadcasted on bandai channel.
The way i see it we probably getting info of either OE, MK3, Infinite Battle, and Z3 on september to december.

Seems like a long enough time for a sequel. Time between Z1 and Z2.1 was 2.5 years.

My only concern is which platform the game will be on.
I recall an old post on /m/ saying Banpresto wanted to use the same Game Engine on all 3 games in the Z franchise. But the PS2 dying meant they had to jump ship to the PSP for Z2.

I wonder if they will stay on the PSP or move on over to Vita/PS3.
If they do then they have alot of work to do to bring the sprites up to a level that can match the greatness of OG2nd.

It won't be that hard because OG2nd is the only games thats come out since Z that looks better than it.

UX and OE aren't very strong in the graphical department.

Weren't the last few games doing their hardest to ensure Char doesn't turn CCA?
Z1 had Char looking at the black history and being horrified at what he and Amuro saw.
Z2 by the end had him lamenting that he will not make the same mistakes Zechs and Treize did.

Wrong, actually.

His entire development in Z2 was about him making sure he didn't go down the same path as Zechs or Treize did. Z1 had him learn what he would do, and he vowed he wouldn't.

Z2 just reinforces that. If anything, I can see them doing CCA plot but with someone else maybe. Maybe including saying Gyunei as the big bad?

Oh, sorry. That was a bad joke.

Yeah. We're not even talking about Gai Daigouji important. Gai just needs to seem like he's dead for a while and Akito gets his necessary development. Kamina being dead is important all the way to the very, very end of the series and movies with Super TTGL being a tribute to the deceased.

Unlikely. AGE is just screaming to be put in the next big SRW trilogy with each generation taking up one of the games. (Alongside Gunbuster and Diebuster, Banpresto please.)

After its debut, sure, we may see in media res representations of AGE where we get thrown into Gen 2 with Flit already a well-represented badass a la every damn game with Z/ZZ/CCA, but hopefully not before that.

Different kind of character development. As long as Kamina is around, Simon will always lack the resolve to become a man because his bro is always around to save him in the end. The biggest part of young Simon's character development is when he finally learns to accept that Kamina is dead and he has to stand on his own.

It's definitely arguable that you could fit Simon's character development into a well-written SRW game even if Kamina came back after almost dying a la Gai Daigouji, but I think it's a difficult enough story matter to handle that there's no point risking the screw-up in Gurren Lagann's SRW debut.

Have you ever been able to save Musashi in a game that wasn't basically Banpresto writing whatever goddamn plot they wanted for the Getters?

That is almost the easiest thing to write for.
Just make Evoluder Gai bring him back with COURAGE or something.

Soubi's characterization is pretty different in L then it was in the anime. In the anime, he was pretty much a dick. In the PSP game and L, he's a mix of both.

L's version probably has something to do with Wufei being in Katou for a bit too. There's a reason you're able to convince Soubi with Wufei.

I guess if it's that important to you, you could write angry letters and not buy the games, but let's be honest here, most of us won't do that. We'll take what we get, like it, and have about enough complaints to occasionally gripe on the internet.

Are you seriously trying to twist "sold out entire shipment" into being proof of the game bombing?
Because at that point you're coming across as not just having a grudge against the game, but a psychotic grudge that's distorting your sense of reality.

You guys must have a distorted view of games development huh? Let me point it out: stuff like titles like CoD or DQ or Minecraft are the abnormal ones. On average, its considered a good sell if the product manages to sell through its initial shipment. This means that it pays for its development. Anything extra after that goes to the developers/company.

If it sold only 60% of its shipment, then that's considered a failure. SRW is generally a low-cost series; it doesn't have the high productions of Cod or DQ because it doesn't need it. Cod, GTA and DQ need to sell a million copies because they were developed using several million, so selling only 80% of their initial shipment is considered a failure..

There's three things I wish Z2 had.
First, a more focused cast list. Toss out the hangers-on from Z1 that don't actually do anything, and just keep the actually important stuff like Orguss, and then give them more screen time to actually do stuff, and then fill the now-empty spaces with other new entries.
Second, more effort, in terms of design. If you don't have a squad system, that's fine, but at the very least, try to make it so that there's something else to compensate. MX and W were both single-unit, and they had other stuff to make up for it: Chain attacks, swapping units out at the battleship, the support call thing, that thing in MX where you could have the surrounding units all support attack, the twin-attack system, stuff like that. Even though both of those games were easy, you still had a bunch of options available to you, so you could at least strategize the most efficient way of busting the opposition open like a tin can. Z2 didn't have any of that, and it was easier than both of those games, so it just became dull and monotone.
Third, more cool stuff! Voiced lines, small on-map animations like in Z1 or even UX, unlockable units, anything! Z2 just felt really barren when it came to that sort of stuff, and it feels like it didn't need to.

Marin: "That's a lie! You know that yourself, that's why you fought alongside us!"
Lelouch: "My existence here is the answer! If you defy me then you oppose not just me but the entire world!"
Marin: "That's rubbish! If you're going to be an enemy to the world then we will stop you!"
Lelouch: (An enemy to the world... At last, here I am.)

Shoutarou: "Zero! Were you fooling us all along to achieve your own goals!?"

Shoutarou: "If not realising your intentions and letting you go was my mistake, then it's me and Tetsujin's duty to stop you!"
Lelouch: (That's how things should be... All men must pay for their mistakes. I am no exception.)

Takeru: "Zero! I still cannot believe you're doing this!"
Lelouch: "You don't change, Takeru. Your blind good-naturedness is almost worthy of respect!"
Takeru: "Stop the act, Zero! You actually..."
Lelouch: "Stay out of my mind! All that is between us now is battle!"
Takeru: "If you insist on fighting then we will fight, to stop you! That's all that we can do!"

Aoi: "It's a pity, Zero. I expected more of you."
Lelouch: "It's not too late. Join me, Team D."
Aoi: "Sorry, but I just don't like you as you are right now. The face behind the mask is disappointing."
Lelouch: "And?"
Aoi: "And it's time to settle things here! Come on, Zero! Yatteyaroujan!"
Lelouch: (In throwing away your masks you managed to face yourselves and gain the strength to never yield to anyone else... I am truly jealous.)

Basara: "Come on, spit out what you have to say!"
Lelouch: "Nekki Basara..."
Basara: "Break that mask! Listen to my song!"
Lelouch: (And a wonderful song it is, Fire Bomber... If only I could live my life as I wanted to, like you.)

Alto: "Answer me, Zero! Was all you did up till now for this!?"
Lelouch: "The answer is yes, Alto. Just as you were born in a family famous for Kabuki, I was born as Britannian royalty, destined to rule this world."
Alto: "I'm not like you! I don't blame others for how I live my own life! This conflict is your fault, and you're taking responsibility for it!"
Lelouch: (Alto... You changed your destiny on those wings of freedom.)

Ryouma: "Zero! I don't hold back against enemies!"
Lelouch: "I know that, Nagare Ryouma. You were one of my most useful pawns."
Ryouma: "Oh really! Well, now you can have a taste of that power first-hand! I won't forgive your betrayal!"
Lelouch: (That passion... It may just be the thing to turn over my strategies and tactics.)

When they fought Kira they had no idea who he was and thought he was some loon flying about, shouting at people to stop fighting whilst being an all round nuisance.

When they fight Lelouch they have fought besides him for some time and had thought of him as an able leader and to some, their friend. So taster the revelation of the Geass, they need to know if he had been truly lying to them.

Kei: "Zero! Are you doing this because you're mad at us for chasing you out?"
Lelouch: "Ridiculous. Your entire existence is nothing but past tense to me now. Nothing but a barrier in my way!"
Gai: "Why you!"
Gou: "If you've become the enemy of this world..."
Kei: "Emperor Lelouch! We will stop you!"
Lelouch: (Come, Getter Team. I'm heading towards the future, just like you.)

Kouji: "The Zero we knew, and emperor Lelouch, which is the real you!?"
Lelouch: "There is no truth to be found in a mask of lies, Kouji."
Kouji: "And what about the you who risked his life to stop terrorists in Ashford? I still don't buy it, Zero! You're doing this for a reason, aren't you!?"
Lelouch: "If you want to think so, feel free. I still won't hold back against you!"
Kouji: "Damn it, damn it! Why do we have to fight!?"
Lelouch: (Because that's the path I chose. But thank you all the same, for believing in me...)

Akagi: "Zero! You won't stop this!?"
Lelouch: "That's not like you at all, 21st Century Security. Among the members of Zexis I thought you were among the ones more critical of my methods."
Akagi: "I still don't like some ways you did things! But you saved us countless times, more than enough to make up for that!"
Lelouch: "......"
Akagi: "Rethink this, Zero! I don't know about that geass thing, but you were an ally of good and justice, a hero!"
Lelouch: "Enough! I am not Zero, I am emperor Lelouch, ruler of Earth!"
Akagi: "Alright, if you want a fight that much then you're getting one!"
Lelouch: (That's the way it should be. You should be the heroes.)

Roger: "Zero... I have to apologise to you."
Lelouch: "And what for, Roger Smith?"
Roger: "Failing to understand your intentions while getting embroiled in Schneizel's machinations was our mistake."
Lelouch: "There is nothing for you to be sorry for. This Lelouch vi Britannia is who I really am. Come, mister negotiator! Whether you like it or not, the only way for you to stop me is by force!"
Roger: "Very well. Let's go, Zero."
Lelouch: (There is no longer a need for words. All that matters to me now is the results.)

Gainer: "Stop it, Zero! With these methods all you'll do is become a second coming of the A-Lawls!"
Lelouch: "Don't worry, Gainer. I'm not as foolish as they were. I will crush all who oppose me before they have a chance to even sprout!"
Gainer: "You've really changed..."
Lelouch: "It was necessary."
Gainer: "Then we'll change too, to stop you! Come on, Zero! Can the emperor beat the king!?"
Lelouch: "Gainer... I won't forget your passion. Stop me, with that power.)

Eiji: "Do it, Touga! This isn't the Zero we knew!"
Touga: "But..."
Lelouch: "Your naivety is your undoing, Grand Knights! As long as you hang on to it you will not be able to defeat me!"
Eiji: "And you showed yourself to us because all of that is part of your calculations?"
Lelouch: "I will do whatever it takes to grasp victory! That's my way of doing things!"
Touga: "The same goes for us, Zero. We can't lose."
Eiji: "Touga..."
Touga: "If you are evil, then we will defeat you! That's our duty!"
Lelouch: (And at last you're ready to fight, Tenkuuji Touga.)

People had a well-documented idea of what Kira was like and were never actual party members with him, since Z1 didn't cover SEED. In Z2 they're mostly confused about Zero's crazy-ass decisions because they thought they knew him personally.

Apollo: "I can smell it, Zero! The smell around you, it's the same as-"
Lelouch: "Enough, Apollo. I have no words for you."
Apollo: "So you want to settle things with a fight? Then I'll take you on!"
Lelouch: "You cannot defeat me. I know all of your tactical patterns."
Apollo: "Don't underestimate us, Zero! We'll always do more than you expect!"
Apollo: "I can smell it, Zero! The smell around you, it's the same as-"

Apollo: "Don't underestimate us, Zero! We'll always do more than you expect!"
Lelouch: (Of course you will. As long as you have that free, unshackled heart...)

Simon: "Zero! Is this the conviction and resolve of your's that aniki believed in!?"
Lelouch: "That was long ago, Simon."
Simon: "It was ten years ago for me, but only a year for you!"
Lelouch: "I changed in that one year. You're now in a position of power like me, shouldn't you understand?"
Simon: "I can't and won't! You're nothing but a villain now! I'll stop you in aniki's place! Come on, Zerooooo!"
Lelouch: (Thank you, Simon, for reminding me of Kamina. If he were here, I'm sure he'd face me just like you're doing so now.)

Renton: "Zero! Why are you doing this? Even if you manage to change the world, with these methods there's no meaning!"
Lelouch: "I wouldn't expect a child to understand."
Renton: "Don't change the subject! Since when did you become that sort of person!?"
Lelouch: "I always was that sort of person. You just didn't realise it."
Renton: "Then I won't hold back! You're my, our enemy!"
Eureka "......"
Lelouch: (Don't say anything, Eureka. That's what I want of Renton.)

Karen: "Lelouch!"
Lelouch. "Karen."
Karen: "I will beat you! That's all I can do!"
Lelouch: "Ridiculous. You cannot defeat me. Even now you're nothing but pawns to me. Now, it's time for you to play the part of the last obstruction to the unification of the world!"
Karen: "Lelouch... Do you really mean that? Then I'm not hesitating anymore! I will kill you with my own hands!"
Lelouch: (Come, Karen. This is farewell.)

Ougi: "Lelouch! I will stop you even if it kills me!"
Lelouch: "Wonderful words, Ougi, but can your actions live up to them?"
Ougi: "Even without you the Black Knights will fight! The resolve in our hearts gives us power! Emperor Lelouch, we will defeat you!"
Lelouch: (It seems that I really no longer have a place among the Black Knights.)

Crow: "Hey there Zero. Pity this couldn't be a happier reunion."
Lelouch: "True."
Crow: "You ain't changing your mind?"
Lelouch: "I have something that needs to be done, just as you need to repay your debts."
Crow: "Well, can't argue with that."
Lelouch: "That's how it should be."
Crow: "Alright. Bye, Zero. I didn't hate you."
Lelouch: (You understood the words of the Black Goat, but still fight me. Thank you, Crow. The freedom and peace you wished for will soon be here.)

Fuck Ougi

Diff anon here, but I'm not seeing any form of 'hate' towards the Z series in that post. Stop overreacting just because you think someone doesn't like your favourite series.

ZEXIS WAS pretty fucking stupid though, though mostly because of the Black Knights.

So all you really need is for Kamina to go missing for awhile. He could've come back for Saisei and Simon would be just like his show counterpart.
That being said, I like it better with him dead.

He's ignoring that Zero did have at least cordial working relationships with these people over the course of the game, which is different from fighting someone external you're not conflicted about shooting down.

Not really going to happen, for obvious reasons. I will say the 00 movie can be combined with anything though. Just another alien species.
