Logistics Specialist 3rd Class Mario Villalta, originally from Anaheim, and attached to USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), encourages the crowd to get excited during the Aomori-City Nebuta Festival Parade, Aug. 6, 2013.

Fitzgerald is currently on a port call in the northern-Japan city of Aomori, and its sailors were invited to take part in the city’s annual parade.

The Nebuta Festival draws about 3 million spectators each year.
