Extra Diet Session Convened, Yamazaki Becomes Upper House President

TOKYO (Kyodo)--The Diet started an extraordinary session Friday, picking Masaaki Yamazaki, a senior LDP lawmaker, as new president of the House of Councillors and Azuma Koshiishi from the main opposition Democratic Party as deputy president.
