2,350,000,000,000 Bq/m3 of Cs-134/137 from seaside trench of reactor2

On 7/27/2013, Tepco announced they measured 2,350,000,000,000 Bq/m3 from retained water of seaside trench of reactor2.

It’s water intake power cable trench from reactor2. Tepco opened a hole (20cm diameter) on the trench from the ground on 7/19/2013. They took the sample on 7/26/2013.

On 7/19/2013, Fukushima Diary reported “36,000,000,000 Bq/m3 of Cs-134/137 measured from retained water of reactor2 trench / Tritium density under analysis [URL]” This time, they investigated the next trench.

As a result, extremely high level of radioactive material was detected.

Cs-134 : 750,000,000,000 Bq/m3
Cs-137 : 1,600,000,000,000 Bq/m3

This is only a part of the entire trench. It is not announced how much contaminated water is retained in total.

Can we safely assume this js literally melted nuclear fuel and or water washed over such fuel???

That is in the trillions……. there has been a sudden spike by 1000x… something hss changed recently.

  2. beijingyank says:

So, how many cases of cancer deaths does Cs-134 : 750,000,000,000 Bq/m3
    Cs-137 : 1,600,000,000,000 Bq/m3 work out too?

  3. Who Cares says:

Great News! The numbers are off the scale! I have no idea how to understand these numbers. Do they mean, you are turned into dust when you come within 1,000 feet of the trench? Do you die 6 hours later? WTF does it mean?

It seems like no government gives a flying duck about any of this. I think the World has a death wish or is just plain brain dead. Either way, it will all be forgotten history in 50 years when everyone and everything is dead on the planet. There will be some living things that will survive….like bugs….

    Oh well, man’s a fracking loser…..
