LIVE DAM presents NIPPON World Karaoke Grand Prix Cosplay
“DAIICHIKOSHO x World Cosplay Summit LIVE DAM presents Nippon World Karaoke Grandprix” is WCS’s the first World Karaoke Championship sponsored in Japan.
Originated in Japan in the 1970s, Karaoke has exploded in popularity not only in Japan but around the world as a fun pass time. Being the birthplace, Japan has been called a sanctuary for Karaoke and “LIVE DAM presents Nippon World Karaoke Grandprix” takes great pride in the fact that the fusion of Anime Songs and Karaoke is Japanese Culture.
Usually an international championship would mean many languages, but this time we have made the regulation that all participants must sing an anime song in the original language, Japanese, in hopes to spread the Japanese culture of Karaoke and Cosplay around the world.
■Event Date
August 3rd, 2013 (Sat) 17:30～19:00 (Scheduled)
■Venue
Oasis 21 Galaxy Platform Special Stage
■Participation Regulations

All participations must be from a country represented in the World Cosplay Summit and their native language cannot be Japanese. |

No group performances will be accepted. |
| [3] |
All songs must be a Japanese Anime, Tokusatsu, Vocaloid or a Game song.
*The majority of lyrics must be in Japanese. |
| [4] |
Participants must write down 3 song options on their entry form. From these 3 songs, WCS will choose 1 song for each participant to sing. |
| [5] |
After the participant’s karaoke performance, participant will sing favorite J-pop song a cappella followed by questions from judges. |
| [6] |
Participants must live inside of Japan. |
| [7] |
Hotel accommodations will be provided for participants that live outside the Tokai area from August 1st to August 4th as well as transportation to and from Sakae station.
*Check-in afternoon of August 1st, 2013 / Check-out morning of August 4th. Transportation is for arriving for by the 1st and for returning home. |

Participants are required to meet on Friday August 2nd at 10:30 at the Nagoya International Hotel. We will then move as a group at 11:00 to the Big Echo to check song key in which participant wishes to sing in.
*For those of you that are not available for the key check will have to sing in the original key. |

Though Cosplay is not require for the performance, there will be points given based on appearance. |

There will be a monitor on stage but the lyrics will all be displayed in Japanese characters. |

At anytime, those who do not come at the designated meeting times, cooperate with staff, and/or do not follow WCS and WKG’s rules, will be subject to elimination from the championship. |
■Judging Criteria
･ LIVE DAM’s precision scoring (Maximum of 100 points)
･ Appearance (4 Judges×25points, Maximum of 100 points)
･ Performance (4 Judges×25points, Maximum of 100 points)
Total maximum of 300 points.

The precision scoring is based on what is sung up to the 2nd chorus. |

The appearance score is based on your Cosplay of your character, gestures, and how much you have lived up to who your character is. |
| [3] |
The performance score is based on how much the audience is attracted to and enjoyed your performance. |
| [4] |
The above-mentioned items come to a maximum of 300 point and the participant with the most points wins the grand prize. The participant with the 2nd most points wins the 2nd prize. The judges will also come to an agreement to give one participant a special award. |
■Participating Countries
No Japanese nationals may participate as well as any one from France, Indonesia, The Netherland, China, or Thailand as participants from these countries have already been decided.
Countries represented by WCS:Australia, Brazil, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, UK, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, and the United States of America.
