Subject: KanjiDB 紹介
I recently found this site called KanjiDB. It has a Dictionary Search engine for the EDICT database.
It also has a Radical Index listing the Kanji belonging to each radical. There are 214 of them, you know.
But what really impressed me is the Kanji Search page. You can do a Compositional Kanji Search. And you can search on more than one component to find the characters which have all of your selected components in the same Kanji.
Let's say you wanted to know which characters have a dot (てん) and have しんにゅう ( 辶 ).
You would check the two components and then click Search and it would return a list of Kanji with info.
My search returns these characters along with info about each one.
述 逑 逋 遙
You can then click on the character and you'll get another page which lists the compound vocabulary for it.
Of course, pronunciations and meanings are also given.
This component search is a really good feature, in my opinion. All JIS208 Kanji are searchable this way. That's over 6,000 characters, so you'll find a lot of rare ones.
The design of the site is pleasing as well so I'm happy to introduce KanjiDB to everyone who stops by here. This is a good find.
