Pokémon X & Y - Overview Trailer
During the Japan Expo, a new Pokémon was revealed. This Pokémon is known in France as Monorpale and Japan as Hitotsuki and is a Steel/Ghost type. We're not sure when this Pokémon will be introduced online to the English fandom but it will in Masuda's message. During battle, this sword Pokémon will unsheath itself. Pokémon Consoles
Following their reveal on Sunday, we now have pictures of the two special 3DS XL models being released for Pokémon X & Y this October in Japan. Costing 22,800¥, these consoles come with Pokémon X or Pokémon Y pre-installed within it and a 4GB SD Card. The blue Pokémon 3DS XL will be released all around Japan, while the gold one will be released only within Pokémon Centers. It is currently unclear if one, or both, will make it outside of Japan. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - International Dream World Promotion
For those of you with the International game who participated within the International Challenge - June, the entry gift, the Ganlon Berry, the Petaya Berry and the Apicot Berry, are live. This promotion gives 5 of each of the berries which give the user boosts of their stats in a pinch. This promotion is live until August 1st 2013 so get it while you can.

Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 - Japanese Dream World Promotion
The next legendary Pokémon doll promotion for the Pokémon Global Link in Japan has been announced. This promotion follows on from the last 12 months of special legendary dolls and this time provides dolls of the Legendary Pokémon Genesect. Like before, these will be distributed via a password sent to all Pokémon Daisuki Club members on July 13th 2013. It is expected to start internationally later this week. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Japanese Dream World Promotion

Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X & Y - Global Link
The Global Link has updated with an notice regarding the Pokémon Global Link. First, the Global Link will open up for a special X & Y version on October 12th 2013, after a 12 day long maintenance from the start of October. However, from October 12th 2013, various Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 features will go offline.
Putting a Pokémon to sleep will go offline on December 10th 2013.
The trial version of the Dream World will go offline on October 12th 2013, as will new user registration.
The GTS tracking for Gen V ends on January 14th 2014 and Rating Mode on Random Matchup goes offline on January 14th 2014.
The ability to do WiFi Memory Link in Black 2 & White 2 also goes offline on January 14th 2014.
C-Gear, Musical and Pokédex Skin changing deactivates on January 14th.
Waking up your Pokémon to get items and Pokémon also deactivates on January 14th. You will be able to wake your Pokémon up from the game side at any time, but the ability to do so from the Global Link deactivates on January 14th
However, using the GTS in the games, Free Rating in the Random Matchup and all the other in-game online features will continue. It's currently unclear what features the new Global Link will have but when we have these details, they'll be posted  In The Games Department
Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - WiFi Competitions
The next Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 WiFi tournament has been announced. This WiFi Competition, the 2013 Global Showdown is the fofth International tournament for Black 2 & White 2. Like usual, it's a Single Battle using the National Pokédex barring Chatot. It is seperated into three divisions; Junior, Senior and Master with places not determined outside of Japan. Registration runs from July 19th 2013 to July 25th 2013 while the tournament itself runs from July 26th to July 29th.

Pokémon X & Y - Special Edition Console & New Pokémon
During the special preview airing of the new movie, a trailer for Pokémon X & Y was shown and within it, it was announced that a special 3DS LL will be revealed. Due for release in October 2013, the console features a special print of Xerneas & Yveltal on the top case. It is said to come in Blue & Red colours. Also, during the trailer, a Pokémon called Orotto (オーロット), possibly romanised to Aulotte, was said to feature, but this is yet to be confirmed. We'll provide more details and pictures as they come

Pokémon Anime - XY
The first details of the Pokémon XY anime have been revealed. The anime is to be called Pokémon XY and will once again feature Ash as he goes to the Kalos region in order to continue his journey of being a Pokémon Master. The anime is due to air in Japan on October 17th 2013 with dub still yet to be announced

Pokémon X & Y - Movie
During the special preview airing of the new movie, it was also confirmed through a teaser that the seventeenth Pokémon movie, part of new Pokémon XY anime series, will be released in Summer 2014. Further details of this movie, including the contents of the trailer are not currently known but we'll provide full details as they come In The Games Department
Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 - Jirachi Event
For those of you with the Japanese Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 games, the next WiFi event is now live. This WiFi event gives the Pokémon Jirachi to tie in with the recent episode of the anime Pokémon Best Wishes Season 2 Decolora Adventures which featured Jirachi. As previously reported, it is Level 50, and has the moves Healing Wish, Psychic, Swift and Meteor Mash while holding the Micle Berry. It is available until July 31st 2013 so be sure to download it while you can.  In The Games Department
Pokémon Black 2 & White 2
For those of you in Italy, a special event has been announced. Within the Pokémon Day event in Mirabilandia in Italy in July 13th and July 14th, you will be able to download a special Pokémon to your Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 games. This Pokémon is a special Team Rocket's Meowth. It's very likely that this event Pokémon will match the special Team Rocket's Meowth that was distributed in Japan in December. That Meowth was Level 15, held a Smoke Ball and has the moves Fury Swipes, Sing, Nasty Plot and Snatch. The Event Database has been updated with details of this event.  In The Games Department
Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - WiFi Deoxys
Following on from its reveal yesterday, for those of you with the French, German, Spanish or Italan language Black 2 & White 2 games, the new WiFi event is live. This WiFi event mprovides a special Level 100 Deoxys with the moves Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Recover and Psycho Boost, while holding the Life Orb and coming in the Dusk Ball. Like all Deoxys, this Pokémon can be taken to the Nacrene City Museum to change form. It runs until July 22nd so there's only a limited time to receive it  In The Pokémon of the Week Department

Today, we are covering a Pokémon introduced in the fifth generation. It lures prey close by dancing and waving its arm caps, which resemble Poké Balls, in a swaying motion. They show off their Poké Ball caps to lure prey, but very few Pokémon are fooled by this.It moves the caps on both arms and does a dance to lure prey. It prefers damp places. So here it is, the one hundred & thirtieth entry, Amoonguss.

Pokémon X & Y - World Hobby Fair
During the World Hobby Fair today, there was a stage show that featured a battle between two players, each using three Kalos Pokémon (Froakie, Chespin, Fennekin, Gogoat, Helioptile & Noivern). There was also another battle, making it the first place to have seen Double Battles in Pokémon X & Y where another battle used Noivern, Spewpa, Lapras & Hydreigon VS Litleo, Talonflame, Charizard and Lucario. Within that battle, several minor details about the moves that certain Pokémon learn were revealed. Specifically in regards to classic moves that are in their learnset. As such, I have updated the pre-release Pokémon page with listings of the moves that are known for each Pokémon  In The Games Department
Pokémon Rumble U - Series 3 Figures
Following on from the coverage of the Series 2 figures earlier this month, I have continued to work on the NFC features for the recent game, Pokémon Rumble U. First, I've added the base stats to the Series 3 Figure page following their release last weekend. I have also updated the NFC page with details on the upgrades, and costs of those upgrades and updated the Spin-off Pokédex with the learnable moves. Pokémon Anime - Noivern Debut
Within the magazine Pokémon Fan, a new episode title for an episode in Pokémon Best Wishes Season 2 Decolora Adventures was revealed. This episode is due to air on August 15th, with us not knowing what will air on August 1st and August 8th at this time. It features Alexa using her Noivern against multiple Ghost-type Pokémon in the ruins

Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Jirachi Event
Following on from the WiFi event that begins on Monday, another Jirachi event has been announced for Japan. This special Jirachi will be given at the Pokémon Center in Touhoku and knows the moves Draco Meteor, Meteor Mash, Wish and Follow Me and holds the Starf Berry. It'll be given to players of any Generation V Pokémon game from August 1st to August 31st. The Event Database has been updated with details of this event In The Games Department
Pokémon X & Y - Special Event
A new special showcase has been revealed. For the first time ever, Japan will receive a trade show dedicated to Pokémon called the Pokémon Game Show. Running from August 17th to August 18th in Tokyo's Big Sight venue, this event will provide the latest in news for Tretta, Anime and Cards as well as give visitors an opportunity to play Pokémon X & Pokémon Y before others. The full details of this trade show will be revealed in July

Pokémon VGC - Australia
For the first time ever, Australia has been brought into the Pokémon VGC field. he National tournaments take place at the special PAX Australia expo on July 20th and July 21st. However, as this is unfortunately sold out, there are several battle competitions across Australia over the next month within which you can earn a place. There are located at

• Melbourne (Deakin Edge – Federation Square) Saturday 6th July
• Brisbane (Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre) Sunday 7th July

Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Funfest Mission events
Several new Funfest missions have been revealed for play in Japan. First, at the World Hobby Fair 2013, from June 29th to September 16th, a FunFest Mission where you have to go around battling strong trainers within it. You will receive Max Ether or Rare Candy depending on how well you complete it.
Next, at Pokémon Centers across Japan, various more Funfest Missions will be running. From July 13th to July 26th, a Funfest Mission allowing you to get Eevee and its evolutions will be running. This mission puts those Pokémon into the Hidden Grottos throughout Unova. From July 27th to August 16th, a Funfest Mission allowing you to buy the Water Stone, Fire Stone and Thunderstone is running. From August 17th to September 6th, a mission that will put Poliwag, Chansey, Togetic, Magneton, Dragonair or Shelgon into the Hidden Grottos with their Hidden Abilities is running and finally, from September 7th to September 27th, a mission to have you find berries is running. It has rare berries such as Pomeg Berry, Hondew Berry and Kelpsy Berry. The Funfest Mission page has been updated with full details of these missions  In The Games Department
Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 & White 2 - Japanese Dream World Promotion

Today, we are covering a Pokémon introduced in the third generation. A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge of being thrown away. It seeks the child who disowned it.This Pokémon developed from an abandoned doll that amassed a grudge. It is seen in dark alleys. If it opens its mouth, its cursed energy escapes. It generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body. So here it is, the one hundred & twenty-eighth entry, Banette.

Pokémon X & Y - English Names & Screenshots
Following their reveal in CoroCoro on Wednesday, The Pokémon Company has now announced the US names of the latest Pokémon. First are the two pre-evolutions of Vivillon, Kofukimushi shall be known as Scatterbug which knows String Shot. Kofuurai will be known as Spewpa, which can learn Protect. Then, Shishiko will be known as Litleo, with its signature move known as Noble Roar and Furabebe will be known as Flabébé. Players may see different Flabébé holding flowers of different colors when encountering them in the wild.
In addition to this, they have also confirmed various names. The starting town, Asame Town will be called Vaniville Town and Hakudan City shall be known as Santalune City, with the rival characters being Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, Serena (The Female Trainer), and Calem (The Male Trainer) respectively. Pansy, the journalist, shall be known as Alexa while the City Gym Leader, Viola is called Viola.
Shauna is the first trainer you meet and is eager to learn about her friends travels. Tierno intends to create a dance team with his Pokémon. Trevor's goal is to complete the Pokédex, and he's the one to give you it. He'll often compare dexes with you. Serena & Calem are your neighbours. You will also receive the Roller Skates in Santalune City

Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Jirachi Event
As we posted yesterday, a new event has been announced for Japan. This event offers the Pokémon Jirachi to players in order to tie in with the Pokémon Best Wishes Season 2 Decolora Adventure episode, Wish Upon Jirachi! The Seven Days Miracle!!, which is due to air on June 27th. This event, running from July 1st to July 31st, and has the moves Healing Wish, Psychic, Swift and Meteor Mash while holding the Micle Berry. Its hidden ability is Serene Grace. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Eevee Event
Following it's reveal last week, we have full details for the upcoming Singing Eevee event in Japan. This event offers the Pokémon Eevee to players in order to tie in with the movie Extremespeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens. This event runs only on July 13th 2013 at the Lalaport Toyosu Shopping Centre in Japan, and then from July 14th to September 1st at Pokémon Centers through exchange of a ticket in Ikimonogakari's new single and features a Level 50 Eevee based on the one in the movie. It has the moves Sing, Return, Echoed Voice & Attract and holds a Silk Scarf. The Event Database has been updated with details of this event  In The Games Department

Continuing on with the monthly reveal and release of figures, The Pokémon Company has revealed the third series of figures. This series, due for release on June 21st and features Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Darkrai & Shaymin, with Red Genesect as a secret figure. Pokémon Anime Special
Some new details have been released regarding a new special episode to air in Japan on July 11th. This episode is a prologue to the upcoming movie and is called Mewtwo, Prologue to Awakening. In it, Virgil, the Unova League Champion, appears with his Pokémon Rescue Squad and confronts Mewtwo, who also changes into its new form. This short special episode airs on July 11th, following a repeat of last year's movie, Kyurem & The Sword of Justice. We'll provide full details of this episode as it airs In The Anime Department
Pokémon Anime - Noivern Debut
Following the reveal on Wednesday that the character Alexa is appearing in the anime on July 18th in Japan with Helioptile and Gogoat, it has since also been revealed that the Pokémon Noivern is to have its anime debut. The title of this episode was also revealed
