Paul Edward Palmer Sr., 65, of Pocahontas, Ark., died June 11, 2013, at his home.
Born June 26, 1947, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late William and Bernice Lockhart Palmer.
He was a former carpenter and truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Palmer; daughter, Kimberly Louise Ferguson and husband, John Sr., of Tennessee; three sons, Paul Edward Palmer Jr. and wife, Kumiyo, of Japan, Daniel Scott Palmer Sr. and wife, Juanita, of Pocahontas and Dwight Thomas Palmer and wife, Rhonda, of Tennessee; two brothers, William Johnson Palmer Jr. and Jonathon Lockhart Palmer Sr., both of Maryland; three sisters, Elsie Harriet Palmer-Willis of Colorado, Bernice Esther Palmer-Howell of Pocahontas and Rebecca Elizabeth Palmer-Phelps of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Ark.
