Filling out this weekend’s theme, we have yet another maudlin, flashback laden episode, although if you cut out all the pointless nonsense centering on side characters pissing about, then it’d just be about five minutes long and mostly Red staring at his hands in terror, wracked by the horrible weight of the guilt of… killing monsters trying to kill him and all his friends? Wait, no. He’d need a personality before having motivations, especially after not a couple episodes prior using the whole good soldier and orders uber alles for squid muderizing purposes. Killing things that centuries ago ago were humans? No… Can’t be it either. He was still complaining about being NOT able to kill more pirates after obliterating an entire ship of them and all he did between then and now was look at some tits. Wasting a good squid meal? Yeah. That’s probably what they were going for. Oh the horror and tragedy.

The cliffhanger was the only thing of note as it introduced what will no doubtedly be the last boss, that someone else fell through the magical space hole and instead of making ocarinas, staring at tits, and being molested by drag queens, established a squid killing cult… and probably also looked at tits.
