The print jobs are intercepted to capture print job summary metadata and print job data.

All types of printer are supported both Ink Jet and Laser.

The print job summary metadata includes:

Date and Time ; Target printer; Submitter; Number of pages printed etc

The print job data contains an actual representation of the printed pages that is designed to be compressed efficiently,

uses a standard format that is suitable for processing by an Optical Character Recognition system and for storage in a document storage system.

The stored Job data can then later be searched for auditing and regulatory compliance purposes.
