Full Version 1.15: (link removed due to yet another major glitch, as well as rewritten code)

Full Version 1.0: (link removed due to the many changes in Full Version 1.05)

These have been rendered obsolete by the Full Version, but I will keep them for archival purposes, to see how the game progressed:

Since it's directly at the new beta, I'll post it here. Basically Beta 2 is unplayable right now. I got these two errors trying to start up the game:

Unexpected error occured when running the game.

Runtime error 216 at 00436C39

Not again! This is the same error my friend was telling me about! I guess I'll need to re-upload it a third time.

EDIT: Huh, this is strange. I used the download link, and it works perfectly fine on my computer. What the hell's going on?!

EDIT 2: Got a report from my friend again. He STILL can't load it. He gets the loading screen, but then, he gets the "Unexpected error occured when running the game" message.

EDIT 3: Tetran, the sweep attack from the Core in Beta 2(which is completely original) will be even harder to dodge, as it also fires shots directly at your ship AND attempts to crash into it after it performs its "killer" attack.

Testing both of the alternate links:

First one, no luck. I'm thinking it may have to do with the game itself...when you ran it, did you get any errors, like incorrect events?

Second failed as well. Are you sure you have everything included to make the game work? I can't really think of a reason why this isn't working.

I don't get it. The only computer it's working on is the one I made the game on(no errors, no nothing). No other computer will run it. Someone explain this to me.

Tetran, something's really not right. I transfered the executable to my old computer with a USB Memory Stick, and I STILL GET THAT DAMN MESSAGE! Come on, what the hell is this?!

UPDATE: Looks to me like something's preventing the game from achieving full load. I just added a progress bar, and it stops at about 7/8 of the way before giving the error. Why would it do such a thing?

Good news, Tetran, I've figured out the problem! 2 of my sprites are WAY too big, meaning that old computers with severely outdated hardware are incapable of running the game. I'm currently resizing all sprites that are massive and will release the updated Beta 2 by the end of the week.

I've downloaded all three version you linked to and they all work fine, no error messages at all.

AMD Dual Core
2 GB Ram
GeForce 7800GTX
XP SP3

This computer I built over two years ago so it not cutting edge.

I also tested it on my Lenovo Vista laptop (2GB Ram, Core Duo) and it works fine there too.

Confirmed. Severely outdated computers can't handle sprites over 3000 pixels in size. The computer I was using to solve the "Unexpected error" issue has its specs as follow(it's old):

Pentium III @ 800MHz
512MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX
XP SP2

I got this computer 8 years ago, so something that old will not run Beta 2. Beta 1 doesn't make use of 3000 pixel sprites, so any computer can run it.

I've got something on the way, but you'll have to wait until December for it. I've got a lot of trouble with the updated graphics engine in Unofficial Salamander 3 Full Version 2.0 which I have yet to resolve. I plan to release for December 25, the day Unofficial Salamander 3 was released 5 years ago.

If I can just find the data for Full Version 1.35A... I don't know what the hell I did with it!
