The WEED Story The
WEED Tennis Racquet was invented in the early 1970's by Thurlow 'Tad'
Weed, a former placekicker for Ohio State in the 1950's, who started
playing tennis but was always hitting overheads on the throat.
The racquet became a favorite among ranked senior players who saw the
benefit of having a larger hitting area to generate added power and
steady play.
Our famous 135 square inch hitting area can benefit any player, whether a
beginner or a ranked player.
