Telescope record in Mexico - level 3

Peering to the heavens, nearly 3000 in Mexico broke the record for the most number of people looking through a telescope at the same location.

2978 to be exact were examining the Moon in Mexico City and in forty other places around the country.

"This is fantastic because it's a family event. Something we can all do together. Science gives us a lot. Science can move the world."

While there is great enthusiasm for astronomy in the country, space workshops and conferences are being held throughout the summer.
