Do you have dreams for your family and community?  Want more information about available city services and programs?  Do you see ways to improve the area you live in?  Are you interested in what other people care about?

If you answered yes to these questions, LNA has a way for you to get involved and accomplish your dreams.  Latinas de Lyndale en Liderazgo, the Latina part of the Women's Leadership Program, is starting its third cohort very shortly and looking for new participants.

I’m excited for my first Open House at Lyndale! We’re gearing up for a fun time on Friday, March 22nd from 6:00-8:30 at the Lyndale Community School. This year’s theme will be Intersections. We’ll be thinking of all the ways our multi-cultural community connects. We’re thinking of places we run into each other—on street corners, out for dinner at Pat’s Tap, shopping Victoria’s and the Family Dollar, and at Painter Park. We’re thinking of the food we can share across cultures. In spite all of our differences, our theme this year is about what we have in common and the way we connect.

Calling all Hosts Extraordinaire! We need your hosting skills to help make Lyndale’s Great Gatherings a success!

Great Gatherings are fun and creative mini fundraisers that support LNA while getting community members together for social activities and events.  Use your unique skills to design a Great Gathering that will showcase your talents, engage community members, and support the Lyndale Neighborhood Association.

Many of us in this neighborhood who have lived here since the mid 1990’s recognize Laura Johansson as the bright, calm, forward thinking and fluent-in-Spanish community leader of the Lyndale Neighborhood Association. She helped start a Latino women’s group, and a Somali group. Several years later, Laura made more than a professional commitment to this neighborhood when she and her husband Dan Prince bought a house and began raising their family right across from Painter Park.

Lyndale’s annual Open House is coming up and we need you to make it a success.  This event draws around 350 people every year and connects community members with programs, services, and neighbors in a fun and festive atmosphere.  Open House staple “Taste of Lyndale” will be there with samplings of delicious fares from the neighborhood and our carnival games will again make an appearance.

The Silent Auction is going to have many fun and interesting things to choose from again this year at the Open House, so bring your credit card, check book, or stash of cash.  This is a great way to donate to LNA and go home with some very useful gifts.

On Oscar Sunday, the Lyndale Social Club showed up to bowl, drink some good beer, and hang out with some of the loveliest that Lyndale has to offer.  The Bryant Lake Bowl was bumping, so we had to wait a bit, but the cool Summit brew and fun conversations made the time fly.  Sammy, Lyndale’s littlest social clubber made his LSC premiere while his momma bowled strike after strike.
