"If you shoot for the moon and miss…at least you will be among the stars." So is the philosophy behind Agonistes.
Originally established in 1964 as a prefix for our Saint Bernards and Skye Terriers "AGONISTES" soon became distinguished name of international reputation where quality is never an accident, but is always the result of firm intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution. At one time home to Champion St. Bernards, Papillons, and several homebred Skye Terriers.
As a Cattery, tradition continues with top winning Persians and Himalayans; Nationally, Regionally and Internationally. While maintaining only a handful of breeding animals, limited breeding and determination Agonistes continues to create "Persians With that Certain Look".
Our thanks to those who have shown and utilized our cats into their breeding programs. We are proud of our dogs-our cats-their lineage-their success.
