Sorry for the big image! I just dyed my hair and it did not turn out how I wanted =[
but maybe i'll try again in 6 months or so..
Was it your first time? Or did it turn out that way because you didn't let it sit long enough? I am very interested in getting the red you wanted in my hair too but this would be my first time doing this.

No i've dyed my hair many times and that's probably why it didn't work as well! If it's your first time dying, it would probably work perfectly, because my roots was my virgin hair so it dyed the perfect bright color :) I let it sit longer than the recommended time too lol so I know it wasn't because I didn't let it sit long enough.

It's been almost two weeks since dyeing and it still hasn't faded. This time I used a loooot more dye (Direction's Alpine Green) than usual and diluted with conditioner. Really weird, warm toned photo orz
I Dyed my hair in a caramel brown color and then got sick of it after
a few months so I dyed it with blue black i think two months before
now. At first it was sooooooo black that some of my friends told me i
looked like I dipped my hair in black watercolor XD But now, it faded
into a black brown color. Like black indoors that reflects a reddish
orangy brown under sunlight and fluorescent light. SO, Im planning on
dying my hair with NATURAL ASH
and I want to ask, Will it only turn out into a reflection? like it
only shows up under sunlight. I dont really want a dramatic change but I
also want it to be at least kind of noticeable indoors. SO, Is it a YES
or NO? :O:O And I really hope you could help me guys cuz Im planning on rebonding my hair too
Caramel Hair Black Hair(This was a few days after I dyed it)
Omg, I'm so happy my hair faded, i had an originally bright orangy color.. thank god its now an orange tinted blonde color. I really love it. But, i really want to achieve maybe CL's Hair color in Can't Nobody? Any suggestions on getting that color? I really want to add the stripes in, it could be really fun <3 ! I have used bleach before, but my hair isn't damage. Thanks!
@Jyjwalker Most people achieve coontails by taping off sections of dark hair when coloring hair to lighter colors.. Since you said your hair is already a lighter color, maybe you could try achieving coontails by taping around the sections of hair you want to stripe and then fill it in with darker hair dye? :)

Sorry for being a right noob... but what dye (preferably drugstore brands) and whether bleach is necessary, that will allow me to achieve this hair colour
I currently have virgin asian hair with some brown at the tips remaining from an ombre after I had a cut. Thank you~
Hello everyone! (my first post lolol) Well to start off.. my virgin hair was extreamly black. It took many many many attempts to get rid of my black hair color. I used Golden Brown at first, and the results were pretty okay.. but after awhile I got really tired of light hair. So I dyed it again, and now I have dark a brown-ish hair color. Unfortunately, I still have a tint of orange-gy in the sun. LOL Was it worth it: I'm a pretty happy, but I have really damaged hair after all of the hair dying. ):
Hey guys! I was wondering if any of you can offer some advice. I naturally have dark brown (almost black) hair and recently went blonde. Lately my hair has been so much more frizzy and prone to breakage. Can anyone recommend any good products to fix my dilemma? thanks for the help!
@aj8288 At times like those you really want to invest in a good shampoo and conditioner, and maybe even some natural remedies to moisturize your hair ^_^
Look for shampoos that don't contain Sodium Laurel or Laureth Sulfate or any kind of Sulfate in general.. preferably also Paraben free shampoo so you don't make your condition even worse.
Make sure you get a great conditioner. If you want to go natural I would recommend Carol's Daughter products that can be found at Sephora, otherwise I would go with Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle (Even though it's a deep conditioner, it will do your hair much good), Redken products for Blonde hair, or even Tresemme conditioners.
DO NOT be tempted to use the brand Organix, even if it uses tempting words like coconut oil, or argan oil, or macadamia etc. That brand is horrible.
Invest in Leave-In conditioners to put into your hair after your shower. I personally use Aussie's leave in conditioning spray on my damp hair, but there's also CHI's Keratin Mist spray and others. Aussie also has an Anti-Breakage Spray, maybe that will cater to your needs more. (:
Try to put organic oils in your hair, 100% organic oils such as olive oil (what I personally use, and I have waist-length hair) or coconut oil, argan oil, etc. Oils are natural moisturizers and lubricants and your hair will be shinier, and smoother and sleeker. Keep it to a minimum though as to avoid super greasy looking hair. I usually leave my oils in for as long as possible if I don't have to take a shower ASAP, and rinse them out when I shampoo and condition as usual.
Try hair masks, like avocado hair masks or mayo (sounds gross but I heard it works) masks. The Macadamia Deep Repair Hair Masque is really popular nowadays and from all the rave reviews you should give it a try as well!
Speaking appearance-wise, use serums to smooth out your frizziness and add a bit of gloss. Paul Mitchell's Skinny Serum is the most popular, but there are also different serums available like CHI's Silk Infusion-- just look around at your drugstore's hair product section. Try to look for serums that involve some type of hair strengthening ingredients since you want to avoid breakage, like keratin.
Of course, always use heat protectant sprays when using hot tools of ANY sort. Your hair is already breaking and you don't want to make things worse for you. One of the most popular would be Tresemme's Heat Tamer spray, but there's also CHI's heat protectant spray, Suave's, etc. Many brands have these.
Good luck ^_^
