TOKYO (Kyodo)--The government on Thursday criticized former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's remarks that a territorial dispute exists between Japan and China over the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea, which goes against Japan's position that its sovereignty is indisputable.
