As of June 26, 2011, new user signups are now currently disabled on Socialwok, and the service is now scheduled to be shut down on July 12, 2011. We apologize for the inconvenience caused, but unfortunately, it has now become infeasible to keep the service running for the forseeable future. We know a lot of our users have become fans of the service, but believe us, we really have no choice in the matter right now given our funding situation and the availability of the developers.

To help our users who currently have uploaded files to our service, you will have until July 12, 2011 to login in to Socialwok and download any files that they have uploaded to service. In addition to new user signup, we have currently disabled the invite features as well as importing streams for Twitter or any other RSS/Atom stream. After the service is shut down, you will not be able to retrieve any data that you have uploaded, and all current data on the system will be deleted.

Believe us, we would definitely prefer a more positive outcome, but we hope that our users can understand our situation and will be able to find suitable alternatives that can provide many of the functions that you have liked in Socialwok.
