Nike introduced new VR_S Covert drivers to both PGA Tour and European Tour players last week.

At the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, Stewart Cink, Kevin Kisner and Patrick Reed all put the new driver in play.

On the European Tour, Simon Dyson, Pablo Martin and Francesco Molinari were among the players using the VR_S Covert. Dyson reported that, with the new 2013 Nike 20XI-X ball, he was seeing an increase of 18 yards on his drives.

The VR_S Covert incorporates cavity back technology that allowed club designers to remove weight from the back of the club and move it to the heel and toe. That means more stability in the clubhead and better accuracy off the tee.

As well, players can adjust lofts between 8.5 and 12.5 degrees and face angles to left, neutral or right. It's available in two models - the VR_S Covert and VR_S Covert Tour, which has a smaller head and slightly deeper face.
