St. Luica
St Lucia - The capital Castries and the busy Rodney Bay area are 30 minutes to the north and Soufriere and the magnificent Pitons are 45 minutes to the south.
St Lucia is a beautiful tropical island set in the Caribbean sea.
One of the Windward islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located in the middle of the East Caribbean chain, with Martinique to the North and St Vincent to the South and Barbados to the East.
St Lucia is 14 miles wide and 27 miles long, the Atlantic ocean washes its eastern shores, whilst the west is lapped by the warm, calm Caribbean Sea.
St Lucia is a friendly island, the type of place where people wave and stop you in the street for a chat.
The Island has a rich history and is dotted with colourful villages, banana plantations and the beautiful rainforest. You will also find a wide range of tropical fruits growing on the trees for example, Mango, Papaya, Star Fruit and of course coconut.
There are lots of exciting activities available on St Lucia, the islands wonderful reefs offer excellent snorkeling and scuba diving, the rainforest in the mountainous interior and is one of the best places in the Caribbean to go walking and bird watching.
Most resorts have gorgeous beaches with a wide array of water sports, including wet bikes, surfing, kayaking and water skiing. There are also a lot of excellent facilities on the Island for Tennis, Golf, Sailing and even zip-lining! St Lucia really is a paradise and one of the best places in the world to enjoy a memorable vacation.
