The University of California International Performance and Culture Multicampus Research Group (UCIPC) pursues research into and publications about transnational and new democratic contexts for performance.  Faculty from throughout the UC system meet to broaden core research into diverse international performance traditions, and into the impact of global movements of people and culture on socio-political effects/affects of situated and local performance.

The research group also encourages the exploration and development of ethical and formal methods and approaches needed to study the process of events that unfold through space and time. The UCIPC runs colloquia on these topics, and is committed to graduate student training in these areas.
