HowTo:

Grab a fresh minecraft.jar and get GLSL Shader Mod to work. Check out Daxnitros Wiki for further instructions.

Copy content of .minecraft\bin\Shaders\mods\shaders\alternative shaders\bump-mapping into your minecraft.jar/shaders.

You will need to change a file inside your minecraft.jar/shaders called gbuffers_terrain.fsh.
Find and change the lines to look like this:

//const vec3 intervalMult = vec3(0.0039, 0.0039, 4.5); // Fine for 16x16 tile size
//const vec3 intervalMult = vec3(0.0019, 0.0019, 0.5); // Fine for 32x32 tile size

By the way do I have to do anything special to get bump mapping/shaders to work. I mean anything else but just install GSL Shaders mod?

You have to be sure that you use the right shaders (mods\shaders\alternative shaders\daxnitro-bump mapping)
Also you have to open the "base.fsh" with a text editor and change the lines from:

//const vec3 intervalMult = vec3(0.0019, 0.0019, 0.5); // Fine for 32x32 tile size

wow, this looks awesome
i've never seen another texturepack with shader, well i wasnt searching, but i randomly found this one and.. its cool!

EDIT: hm I tried it again and again, but the shader wont work for me I downloaded a clear bin folder, installed the texturepack via mcpatcher, and then executed the "INTALLER" from the Shader. Then I clicked on "install mods" after checking that the path where my minecraft.jar is correct. it did it successfully, no errors in log. i have ingame depth of field, but no specular maps! already deleted the hole bin folder and did all this again, but still it isnt working.
did i loose something in these steps I said? i have win7 (64bit), ATI radeon HD5850 (which is said to supported by the shader, as it is mentioned in his wiki http://daxnitro.wiki...re ... Shaders)).

EDIT²: I've edited the file as said in the third post, but what do i have to do with it? I changed it, and then installed the shader. but do i have to select a shader, or create a mod folder?

It doesn't work for me. I did everything you said, even the copypaste part. I used this shader before, so i'm sure that i've installed it well. Are you sure the texture pack is not bugged or something? I also have the final.fsh with bloom and ssao, maybe this is why bumpmaps aren't working.

edit: mcpatcher did not copy the other 2 terrain files needed for bumpmapping and the specular thing, i'll try to do it manually.

I finally got it to work after a lot of trial and error. It crashes after a minute or two, usually when I try to open up the inventory.

Also; sometimes coal looks yellow or silver at certain angles, and I mistake it for something better.

Possibly the worst documentation ever. No word on how to install the shaders whatsoever.

Why not just create a ready-to-go pack to copy/replace our files with?

Actually that is how it works. Choose the shaders in mod/shaders/alternative shaders/ and copy them in mod/shaders/contents/files/shaders/, then run INSTALLER.exe

I did. Nothing happens.

Also, the wiki is terrible, GLSL documentation is even worse.

I've been trying the last hour and a half to make it work. It doesn't. The instructions are really vague and more of a "you should know how this is is done"
