Subscribed to their Business package. Have permanent performance problems + incompetent support. Usually it is very hard and time consuming even to make them understand what the problem is. They have a live chat but all what they can do is to escalate the existing ticket or to advise you to create a new one. Useless.
hi. because in this forum attach picture is not supported i write my problems on mochahost:
1-they support is weak they answere tickets every few hourse ans answere not carefully same as: i ticket they to transfer all my accounts from server with ip user=root and pass=…. they after 3 hourse reply : please send info user pass !!!! i replyed i putted on top after 1 hourse they replyed you need all account or some i replyed all
2-on the resseler plans they write espresso plan is unlimitted on creat site but after login i see 1 of 50 (i can make 50) when i ticket to billing no answere reccieved but they closed ticket as completed !!!!!
3-onthe whm on create account the custom options to make own bw space email for account is disabled i ticket to support but not response and they closed my ticket
4-THEY HOST MY RESSELR ON THE VPS —how i can sell host when the logo vps is on the top of each host account cpanel ?

5-the person online on chat not do anything just it is ready to offer plans and price. when i asked him her he make ticket ok we can create ticket by own

I am searching for a good web host. I thought MochaHost is a good one since a friend recommended it to me but I end up disappointed and frustrated. I never really received a good service from them as I thought I would.
I will never ever use this web hosting website and I would spread out to all of my friends.
Below are the BAD points of MochaHost.
- Poor Customer Service especially their chat and e-mail support
- They claim that they strive hard to maintain excellent services yet their representatives are terrible and have poor English! makes me think they are from India!
- They closes your ticket even though your issue is unresolved!
Since 25th June, the services to most of domains under my reseller account were down. The mails id’s under these accounts were untraceable.
The person on the chat session agreed that there was a problem and will be sorted out soon.
Still I raised a ticket. And the Tech Support Guy just denied that there was any problem.
It has been almost 28 hrs now, and still the problem is existing with no solution in sight.
I’m surprised that everyone was so nice giving mochahost even 1 star. I would not even give them any star at all after what happened to my website. They lack of communication. Yes, they told me that the migration would happen, but failed terribly to inform me that it would take much much longer than they anticipated. Once the migration was done, my site was up for two days and again they failed to find out the problem with DNS that they failed to do. They said it would take up to 24 hr., but again you wish. It took 2-3 days. Then my site was up for a couple of days. After contacted them for 2 days, they finally informed me that they had issues with the server and lose everything. 2-3 days later, they said everything was up in operation and I could re-upload my files there. This was 9 days ago. I’m now still not able to do so.
100% agree with all of the above comments about Live Chat 24/7. They are available for anything related to money, like selling you services. If you are current customer, they are not for you. You need to wait for the mercy of your email support person. It is understandable if it takes up to 24 hrs to answer, but they are not competent to answer it right away. It ended up that you have to reply and wait for another day. So, if they responded back to you 4 times (without resolution and with more questions to you), it means 4-6 days that you have to spend in communication, even some small tiny question like, “what is your site url”.
Someone should come up with some web hosting review site that can really put pressure or make damage on these bad web hostings’ reputations or business.
MochaHost service is fantastic. My overall experience with the host is great. Though customer support is not that nice, but it is okay. I have been using MochaHost since 3 years and on two shared host windows account. The hosting is fast and is packed with unlimited, top notch features. The unlimited SQL database helped me a great deal. The uptime for live chat is also 100 percent and the trouble tickets are also answered in no time.
MochaHost is not a scam, as said by some. They might not be the perfect web host but they are fine when it comes to affordable hosting plans.
I did not want my site to be down for most of the time since I really am here for a business. Plus, I had a limited budget which added to my problems of finding the perfect web hosting company. Fortunately, I found MochaHost, and what I can say from my personal experience is that the web services are excellent! My experience with this web hosting company has remained brilliant and customer support, oh don’t even ask, it is so amazing and highly responsive.
I found it that the customer support team was always so ready to help at any time and it is this positive attitude that has made me stick to this reliable host for past three years! Now I would just say that MochaHost is absolutely rocking!
The 2 reviews, July 4th and July 6th are a scam. Mochahost is not a company to do business with. More than likely these people have something to do with MochaHost. I won’t go into telling you everything that is wrong, but, I will tell you I have been building and hosting web sites for over ten years. I have hosted on Verio (NTT), and several others that have sold out over the years. I have NEVER had a bad experience with one of the hosting sites from these other companies.
I was looking for a cheap hosting site and tried MochaHost. THIS WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. The control panels take like 5 minutes to load each page (I have a 20meg inet connection and a 2.66 Intel Duo with 4 Gigs of Patriot 800 4-4-4-12 extreme ram and an HD video card, a screaming computer in other words). The FTP disconnects about every 2 minutes and to get a backup of your data over their FTP connections is near impossible.
Bought a VPS. They say it takes 24 hours to setup. Well going over 40 hours at this point. Their support tickets are ignored for hours on end. Their chat support is clueless, they can’t spell, they don’t punctuate, they can’t string a decent sentence together. USELESS! I tried Hostgator – much better service, but unfortunately my system could not work with a shared account and they do not have Windows VPS. That is when I switched to Mochahost…. bad decision now that I look at all the reviews. Never choose a host that does not allow you to rate its chat support staff.
Absolutely the worst web host I have ever used. At this point I am ready to abandon my websites on their servers since they have NO WAY of getting files off. FTP is so &*(^%*( slow that a single 1k file takes over a minute and trying to transfer a whole site times out so often that it’s literally impossible to move files.
The “Plesk” site control software is also slow to the point in inoperability. every single click of the mouse leads to numerous timeouts causing PHP errors before you can even reach the main page. More often than not, the entire session times out prior to actually getting to the main page, meaning you have to log back in and start over.
Email is down for at least sevral hours DAILY.
Web pages run faster when hosted on my home PC. Literally. My home PC dishes out webpages faster with it’s 100k upload limit from comcast cable than MochaHost.
Support is a joke. Their live chat is canned responses from people that clearly do not speak English, or even Engrish for that matter. Their idea of tech support is to not answer the question you asked, then close the ticket as “resolved”
Again, this is the absolute worst host on the internet.
I will not recommend this to anyone not even to my enemies. We curently have a vps plan with them (which we were forced to buy up from our old business plan due to them hiding few basic facts from
us during the sales cycle)
1. Server is frequently down.6 to 7 times in a week is the norm.
2. Tech. support is pathetic. They will resolve the issue only when they work and during business days. All the claims of 24 by 7 support is hollow.
3. Sometimes you just talk to these guys on chat n they will resolve the issue in minutes.. if you ask them the reason , nothing will be given.
4. No escalation matrix for any issue. You need to be on their mercy all the time even for critical issues.
5. loads of hidden cost.. they always want to you to upgrade the plan even for small-small things.And when you enquire why was this not told earlier, they will flatly say that you did not ask this, hence we
didnt tell you.
stay away from them ! cheaters. they will force to to upgrade your plans giving silly and stupid reason and will give cheap service and unlimited frustration in lieu of that.
Very good package features. Buts:
1. Within recent week server was down several times.
2. At the present time mysql server is down.
3. Live support chat just copy paste the same text every time above things repeat.
4. Once ftp quota error occured while it shoudl be unlimited.
Shortly, not recommend them at all.
They are promising many big things and seem they cannot even keep little ones.
Like for example: They the a Try link to an updated Cpanel on their Business Plan on the homepage. I created an account with them an dpaid for the Business plan. I checked the Cpanel and found out it was not updated.
I opened a support ticket and this is what they wrote:

We apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
Unfortunately we cannot offer you the requested feature with your shared hosting plan.
If phpAdmin latest version is in critical importance for your business, please consider upgrading your plan to any VPS/Cloud server plan.
If they cannot offer it with the Business plan, then why is it on their homepage Business plan? This makes me doubt all the other big things they promise.
That’s not to mention that my migration request ticket was answered after about a day and who answered it did not seem to know what migration was. I had chateed with live support and was told to open a ticket for migration.
Be careful of another thing if you think of hosting with them. The current price offers will go back to normal, they are not for life as promised either. For their normal prices you can find better hosting for sure.
I asked for a refund, lets see if they keep the money back guarantee.
Asked for refund. Agree with all negative reviews above. They guarantee 100% uptime while it is not even 95!

they are scam and greedy persons. i purchased their hosting for 12 months but i purchsed hell of problems for me. first they were upgrading their servers which took 1 month. most of the times servers are low. again and again i dont know why they are cenceling my hosting. i have only 1 site hwallpapers. com on my hosting and now they asked me my website is using very much “network sockets, memory limits, kernel memory limits” so i buy a VPS from them. they only provided service for 1 month in six months. from my experience they are cheats

I tried to purchase a new account from MochaHost but I changed my mind so I cancelled it the same day. However, it was not stated on their policies that the refund will take 5-7 business days. They closed the ticket without verifying whether the refund has been issued!
I got mad and they threatened me that they will not issue my refund because I cursed their company! That’s completely nuts! They are the first web hosting company I knew they would cancel their customer’s account if someone used profanity to them. GEEZ. Plus, my account is already cancelled! Are they trying to prove that they can forfeit the money I paid even if I was able to cancel the account within 30 days? That’s b***s***! There are a lot of discrepancies with their Terms and Conditions so beware!
Just because their customer is already upset, I can’t believe they asked me to apologize even if THEY should be the one to apologize here at first. Totally terrible. You’re not the only web hosting company here, you know. So don’t be so proud of yourselves.
Their technical support responds quickly but in most cases is not the answer you expect. Uptime of their servers is terrible, most of the time are down. Please avoid a headache, think twice before using MOCHAHOST
Worst support. Worst care for customers and heavy down time. I never expected this from them. Hate Mocha host now. Not even correct response in chat , mail. Hate i dont want to rate it. Before it was 5 now 0000000000000.
Worst Web Hosting Experience ever. This happened all in frame of 24 hours. Bought 2 packages Linux Business package and Windows Mocha package. I had nothing but issues. They issued me non working name servers upon fixing the website panel they issued. Then they tell me to go with the first set of name servers in the welcome email, took them 2 hours to understand the nameservers they provided me in hosting space email were not valid. Then for the Linux account they lost my entire site when they were issuing me a Static IP. This poblem was never resolved and they told me they would have to reissue the IP for me to access my cpanel from my domain name. It took me 15 hours of chatting with their incompetent support staff, which just tells you to submit a ticket in the end. If you ask for refund, please submit a billing ticket and wait for cancellation, and after they process cancellation it can take 5-7 days to receive refund. What is that? it is very hard and time consuming even to make them understand what the problem is and they should refund the customer as it is their fault entirely that I wasn’t able to use their services. They have a live chat but all what they can do is to escalate the existing ticket or to advise you to create a new one. What i really disliked about them is I filed a paypal dispute as they kept telling me to wait for billing to respond and place a ticket, USELESS. they told me if i cancelled my dispute I would be refunded, which they haven;t followed through on. Advise never cancel your paypal dispute if mocha host staff emails you and tells you to do it before they issue refund. Because then they will never refund!

Probably the most incompetent support people I have ever come across. It is hard to make them understand the basic networking issues.

If you wish to run your websites once a month, these guys aren’t that bad. They’ll manage that once a year.
The problems I have had with them are:
1. Messed up private name servers
2. Idiotic support that doesn’t understand the technicalities
3. Websites down most of the time
4. Control panel has amazing speed. You can make a cup of coffee, have breakfast, wait for another 5 minutes before you can see the control panel.
5. Control panel login gives error
6. Database access issues
7. Billing problems
Pure cheats and they wouldn’t return your money. The uptime is extremely misleading. It only means that the sever is responding on that particular domain, not your website.
Stay away from these guys.
Today I found that all my database has been deleted. All addon websites too. And they offer me 1 month free for this issue.
I don’t have a word to impress myself.
Mocha Host does reply to the queries but their VPS sucks. THeir VPS is out almost 6 times a week. They does solve the problem quickly but again the server goes out and is offline.. Probably there is the problem with the IP they assign you. The problem is always repetitive.
I would not suggest you to go for their VPS PLAN.
Its a lot headache.
If you ever think to go for their hosting. Buy a Paracetamol and sit down..
THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM. My website was down more time than it was up. I had them for 26 days and I had to switch. Use someone reputable, these guys are HORRIBLE. We were down for 2 days straight, at that point We lost so much money from our online store that i had to switch. I tried to cancel and get a refund (they have a 60 trial refund policy) which they said i am not eligible for because i made account changes. Seriously the worse company i have EVER used. STAY AWAY!!!!
Stay away. (1) Even after I quit MochaHost, with proper notice, they still charged my credit card-two months before each payment would have been due if I had stayed. (2) MochaHost made a mistake that cost me several weeks of lost work. It took several more weeks to get MochaHost to even admit they had made a mistake. There was not any apology nor any offer of credit for lost time. When I asked, very nicely, what had been done differently to make sure the problem had been permanently corrected-MochaHost refused to answer any more of my emails. Even emails that had nothing to do with their mistake.
Hello.I am with mocha host about 3 years with two shared windows servers. In this periot we have only one week problems with aone server becouse slow migration to another harware. Ather is very good,fast support. Our control panel have dust on it
. I recomenf Mocha becouse I compare with experiance with current very good rated provider but who have very poor value compared with mocha.
I don’t know what else to say about MochaHost apart from its hell. This week for instance one of my accounts has had DNS issues for the past 3 days and they’ve done nothing.
All the support tickets are updated with “the sites are working fine here”
I have explained to them that doesn’t mean others aren’t affected and provided them with a trace route proving the problem is at their end but this was ignored.
I got that desperate last night I told them to just move my sites to another server but that to was ignored with another “the sites are working fine here”
In the end I lost my temper with them and the ticket, which has been escalated, was answered after ten hours with them refusing to take any action even though they haven’t done anything so far anyway!
This is proof so others know to stay clear of these cowboys

” I hate Mochahost, they suck, I wanted to transfer my site to them, last week, so we started the transfer, it took over a week to do, and the website would not display. They kept saying this a holder page was up instead of the website. Hello if a website is being transferred, then the da*n site should be up, not a holder page even once the transfer is complete. So I said fu*k it and loaded the damn site files, then an error is in place instead of the site.

These guys are nothing more than thieves. When I first joined I signed up to the Soho package because it was ideal for me.
Once they got my money and I got my site up I realized the site was far to slow and I was told I would need to upgrade to the business one that gives me more CPU, Memory and Resources as the shared hosting is VPS Optimised by them.
Well they got more money from me and the speeds did increase. Since then though I have had lots of downtime & DNS issues, showing 403 errors etc.
Now this morning I woke up to find my account suspended, I contacted their “live support” who couldn’t tell me anything because there was no ticket at the time, yes that’s right they just suspended it without informing themselves why never mind me.
Eventually they did create a ticket telling me my account was suspended because it had used to much resources!. I pointed out to them that the accounts are restricted so they were clearly trying it on for even more money. I also pointed out that the site was suspended in the early hours when hardly anyone is using it (UK Topic Site). Their “abuse” team claim the restrictions were taken off (very handy for them hey) however I now have access to the cpanel and the restrictions are there so they are lying to me!
