I dropped out of school in the 9th grade due to social anxiety. Now i am 17 years old and am looking to make some friends in college. Notice that i missed out on the 4 most important years of socializing, learning what makes people laugh how to be funny, when to be funny, Ive been told before im as funny as a wall:(. Just wondering if anyone has tips on developing a humor.

Just remember not to take everything so serious. Listen to people carefully but understand that somethings maybe to make people laugh and not to be hurtful or mean. You’ll get the hang of it soon enough.

Try watching some sitcoms. They always have some funny situations in them or try to see the funny side of them.

I know with my anxiety and stuff it has been hard for me to laugh with people. Sometimes you just don’t want to hear it. So take your time and listen. Keep a smile on your face.

You’ll make plenty of friends in collage, some you can even share some of your past with. I’m sure once you get to know them you’ll fit right in.

I am not quite sure how much it will cost in Illinois, I am at St.Paul, MN Be aware that even if you pay for your first visit, doctor might not prescribe valium to you, but will give you a prescription for SSRI or some other anti-anxiety medication. Actually, check with reputable online http://www.trustgeneric.com/prices.php?aff_id=73755&sub=1127 they sell Brand Valium as well as Generic Valium. I have ordered blood medication through them.

I have had horrible anxiety lately. I freak out about the weirdest things and I’m worried constantly that something horrible is going to happen to someone in my family. I also have developed abnormal fears. I have been really stressed out for the past few months and I’m guessing the anxiety is a result of that. What type of meds do they give for short term? And how quickly do they calm you down? I know anti-depressents take about 2 weeks to start effecting you.

I would recommend Paxil. Not the generic crap version Paroxetine, but the name-brand expensive stuff PAXIL. It is an anti-depressant, anti-anxiety drug that has done wonders for me. I was told up to two weeks also to feel the effects but you probably will start to feel a little better after your first pill. It makes you relax and deal with things instead of running around like a chicken with your head cut off.

Also, I took Xanax (Alprazolam) along with the Paxil. Xanax goes to work right away but is not long-lasting like Paxil. But if you take them both at the same time you will probably be able to get over whatever problems life has been handing your way.

I have been suffering with anxiety and panic attacks for a couple of months now and am trying everything i can to control it, but i don’t want to do medical pills, so i was thinking about herbal remedies and found something called PureCalm and something called relora max i believe, and i’m just wondering if anyone has ever tried any of these or know of something that actually works that is herbal please and thank you.

Try Bach rescue remedy, I found the spray worked well however the tablets are just as good, and you can carry both of then in your pocket and us when you need to.

Im a small person. 27 years old, 5’2 and weight 94 pounds. Im about to get married and I want to take one of my panic attack pills, Valium. I will be drinking alcohol 6 hrs after I take the pill. will I have any problem? Or should I just drink like a shot of alcohol instead?

I’m looking for something that will make me drool on my seat and not care about being in such an unnatural state.

That could do it. It will probably put you to sleep for sure. You may need to have a mouthfuls of drink to help with the drool part. Sleep with your head tilted at least a 45* angle or 90 * if you would like it to travel down the front of the person sitting beside you. Keep your mouth open during take off, this should help with the air pressure to keep it that way. Wear a nylon jacket yourself and hopefully you sit next to someone wearing their fur coat. (hehe)

I know they’re different like valium is something other than lorazepam which is generic for atvian but I don’t understand the differences how it would affect someone and which one is stronger?

Both are benzodiazepines, which are medications used to treat seizures and anxiety disorders, among other things. The differences between benzodiazepines is usually how long they take to work, how long they remain in your system, and how they are metabolized. Lorazepam is more potent than Valium and has mostly inactive metabolites. Lorazepam may also stay in your system longer, which could be good or bad due to its sedating effect.

I’ve fasted and had seizures. I’ve gone cold turkey and had seizures. Has anyone gone through this?

I don’t know how tabs you take a day but if you take 3 – 5 mg tabs then you start by taking 2 and a half then down to 2 etc ,etc.

What are some medications that are avaliable in generic that are good for social anxiety and occasional panic attacks? I mainly just have social anxiety and when I have to get infront of the class, but I take valium for that but what would help for the social anxiety? what about welbutrin? but I am NOT a smoker.

It’s hard to say what is best. Each medication works slightly differently for each person, some experience alot of side effects while the next person says the medication is great. Only a doctor can really say what is best for your lifestyle, and it may take some trying to find a medication you are really happy with.

My dad has give me two 10mg of Valium and now wants to smoke a bowl, I took one of the Valiums about 45 minuets before i typed this thingy. If i take the second Valium and then smoke a bowl will i be alright???? I am a Everyday Toker, but have only done Valium once before, i am 5ft 8in and 170 lbs
