Yet another media DEBACLE from TEPCO…
Sure you can Trust them,
… T☢☢ LIE…!
Report Comment
Maybe it's Harry and Ron or Frodo and Sam hiding underneath their invisibility cloak. TEPCO really can't do anything about that now!
Report Comment
Tepco, they lie just to keep in practice.
It's probably where it's leaking water now.
Report Comment
we would all like to see what is behind curtain #4. I looked at all of there photos and I see a number of large cracks in the wall's. I don't see any water on the ground near the "cover-up" photo. There is obviously something there they do not want us see. Hmmmm
Report Comment
Can't even do that right, can they? Maybe they should hire a 10 year old as Photoshop consultant.
Report Comment
They messed up and hired the same team that Photoshopped the BP Command Center during the GOM disaster.
Report Comment
They say this proves the soundness of unit 4 building? really, then why doctor the photo if it's so "sound", a odd choice of word's. Sounds like a crock of s$%*!
Report Comment
They probably just through some paint on the photo, call it good, cant see it from my house they say.
Report Comment
That is also known as a photoshop 'smile'…rest easy folks, no immediate danger from this photo…
Report Comment
Take a look at that view, the lower half of that side has not been shown very much. Search images for yourself. You'll be hard pressed to find another…
Why?

Perhaps, jebus, the greatest minds in the nuclear industry realize they are more likely than not dealing with an extinction level event, and given the greed and all pervasive corruption wihin said industry, also realize that 'change' for the better will not happen in a timely manner. In other words, humanity, itself, is a lost cause: doomed to self murder. What else would one expect from a species hell-bent on raping, torturing and murdering its own children (contrary, I might add to GOD's own directive as found in the Holy Bible, Book of Luke, C.9, V.46-48)?

90% of the people wou'dn't recognize if the gates of hell were open and demons were flying out.
It's bad but TEPCO lies for fun.

I mean, don't get me wrong: I totally appreciate enenewsers attempting to save the world, themselves and loved ones included. Indeed, I applaud such efforts. After all, multimillion life forms are threatened by human arrogance, stupidity and evil. And, I would never discourage such efforts; my motto being 'do not go gently into that night, rage, rage against the dying of the light'. However, as you all know, there are limits to hope, optimism…I mean, eventually, one may have to confront the reality of the situation. No?

I do not understand what is so funny, Jebus. I mean, I was simply telling the truth. Moreover, perhaps, I thought you were differnt…cool name an all…

maybe he lolled cause u botched the DylanT quote….it's "Do not go gentle into that GOOD night"
small point, but we gotta be careful with the classics

There are many pictures. Remember the one on the video on the Japanese TV station. There was much discussion on enenews as to whether or not the SFP #4 was already gone.

Just a thought, but since reactors identical to Fukushima exist across the country, there may be some photos of another plant that display the equivalent part of the building. Then one could at least see if there is typically some important structural or functional component there that has likely been destroyed/damaged at Fuku.
However, I agree with those who suspect that it's just a place where there's a massive bulge or crack in the wall that undercuts TEPCO's claims about the building's structural integrity. This photoshop blotch is another reason to suppose that the #4 building has about as much integrity as the company that owns it.
Report Comment
Am I correct in supposing that the SFP is under that green crane-like thing on the upper left section of the photo–so that at least whatever is there is not right next to or beneath the fuel pool?

The upper south-eastern corner of the building seems quite collapsed, right over the famous crack-line.

U.S. and other countries are not taking responsibility while constant re-criticality is happening. Dialog needs to be opened (for the first time) in this deadly matter.
Putting off the dialog might slow a grand exodus of Japan and America, but will not stop it. Wish I was wrong. I so do.

Remember when a few of us were quite interested in what was described as "fire" behind unit 4?
I think some of the nuclear material from the spent fuel pool spilled there..and burned.

I think you're right.

The fire might have been near or on top of the SFP, but it wasn't the SPF in its entirety because if it was the site would be clear of humans, all SPF and reactors would be cooking away spewing radiation in all directions, Japan would be evacuated, and progressively every unmanned abandoned reactor throughout Japan would be doing a Fuku too.
We've seen video from within SPF4, and while there is some physical damage from debris dropping from above there is no sign of tops of fuel assemblies melted or otherwise damaged by intense heat.
Remember once the uranium zirconium fuel assembly fire starts water does not put it out, it just adds oxygen and hydrogen to the fire – unstoppable.
Of course, the fact that all that has not happened yet is increasingly a case of luck as the clock ticks down to the next big aftershock or the next failed pipe or pump. Utter madness.

I agree, there was an event that caused some damage, but they managed to get it under control.

how friggen dare they .. whoever is responsible for that: I hope you roast in hell! What on earth do they think they PROTECT ??

Protecting themselves from the world blaming them and/or the hidden hands behind their decisions. Japan had a lot of help from their friends(?) to build 54 nuclear plants on a volcanic arc, including taking on everyone's extra (MOX) fuel! The gravity of the continuing radiation releases is something leaders are afraid of, due to panic and a dearth of solutions. The ludicrous excuse of hiding info for 'panic' is pathetic, unless you are protecting a group of 5 yr. olds from a harsh reality. World leaders would have to stop bickering and killing each other to make a complete about face on all their plans to become a global, nuclear Santa Claus, on the take for billions of dollars. I don't want to say what kind of roast this should be (he he) but we are all roasting together. R4 is boiling as far as I can see, maybe burning too. Wasn't the previous black dust that turned out to be cyanobacteria or laden with algae anyway, from R4 burning, while they struggled to get water in the sfp? The ground-wall patch does look fake, especially since the party line said the R4 explosion was below the sfp (unlike the explosion in R3), so you'd expect mangled walls, low down. Notice they never show the other two sides of R4. Please Tepco, we'd like to know there are more than two walls on R4 – Thank You! Stop Photoshopping reality. We are all adults here.
