Southern Sudan Healthcare Organization

Welcome to SSHCO

The Southern Sudan Health Care Organization (SSHCO) is a non-profit organization founded by Jacob Atem and Lual Deng, who both are "Lost Boys of Sudan." Together they drive the organization's vision and message of a safer Southern Sudan through health care and education. Part of that vision includes a medical clinic to serve the people in South Sudan.

SSHCO is a non-profit organization co-founded by Jacob and Lual on March 27, 2008. Both are two of the Lost Boys of Sudan who came to America in 2001. Jacob is a graduate from Spring Arbor University and received his Master of Public Health at Michigan State University. Currently Jacob is pursuing his PhD in Health Services at the University of Florida. Lual received an economics degree with a specialization in international development at Michigan State University. Together, they drive the vision and message of a safer South Sudan through healthcare and education.
