In the past 12 months the outlook for Augmented Reality as a mass technology has changed dramatically. In August 2011 metaio's CTO Peter Meier introduced the first-ever mobile tracking of three-dimensional objects along with the vision of a technology that makes the increasing use of digital information a more natural experience.
Since then, metaio's mobile 3D tracking has proven itself in many ways. In addition to winning the prestigious ISMAR Tracking Competition in 2011 and receiving awards for the best AR software development kit, the metaio Mobile SDK has been used commercially in over 200 applications with hundreds more currently in development.
Keynote presentation and update on the future of Augmented Reality and the metaio roadmap.
