Under The Sun

Boots - c/o So You Shoes
Jewellery - DBB (Coming Soon)

Hello Lovely Ladies! (and guys maybe?) I feel very out of the blogging loop right now! If you watch my videos or follow me on twitter you will know that i've been moving house! Me and my boyfriend now have a little cottage to call our own and we've been spending all our free time making it look homely and pretty (if I do say so myself!) We've also become the proud parents of a baby bunny! He's name's Alfie and he's THE cutest thing ever!

Because of this I haven't been around much, But I decided to take advantage of the amazing weather we've been having this week and shoot some outfit pics in Ma n Pa's garden!

I know my outfit does't scream summer! but I honestly have so many summer dresses, all of which I haven't worn this year because of our terrible weather, so I've been buying things that I think will take me through to autumn instead (how organised am I!)

I adore this midi dress from Miss Selfridge, it's very light and comfy so actually really good for the hotter days with a pair of sandals, but I paired it with my amazing new boots from So You Shoes and I think they really give it an edge! I've wanted a pair of chelsea boots of so long, so I snapped these up and I have a feeling they will be my go-to-boots all autumn/winter!

Just one final thing before I go....

I am absolutely, over the moon/surprised/shocked/flattered to have been shortlisted in two categories for this year's Cosmopolitan Blog Awards! honestly, a MASSIVE that you to anyone that voted for me! I was totally chuffed to bits!

I do feel rather cheeky asking again, but if you would like to vote for me to win in either the Best established fashion blogger or the Best lifestyle blog categories then click here! and please let me know if you do so I can say Thank you!

Lots of love!

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc Review & Giveaway!

When I was a little girl, I remember my Mum letting me have the perfume samples that she got from department stores. There was one in particular that I loved as the scent always remind me of a sweet shop….

Being young, I didn't know what this yummy perfume was called, but always remembered it more than the others and often wondered what it was called. When I got into my teens and started to become interested in perfumes, I discovered it again and was over the moon! That perfume was the original Lolita Lempicka Frangance. I had it for many years and adored the pretty bottle and unique scent.

Recently I was asked if i wanted to try Lolita Lempicka's new frangance L'Eau en Blanc and of course I jumped at the chance!

As soon as I smelt it, it brought lots of memories back, as the've kept the essence of the fragrance the same, however this one definitely feels like a more grown up scent, with powdery, musky base notes and a white violet and raspberry heart.

It's also a more subtle scent and not as strong as the original, whilst still lasting for ages on the skin. I love everything about this perfume from it's whimsical and elegant packaging, to the sweet scent that reminds me of being young. If the original was 10 year me's favourite perfume, then this would be 21 year old me's favourite, and a welcomed addition to my dressing table!

I'm giving away a 50ml bottle of the New Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc AND a 50ml bottle of the original Lolita Lempicka fragrance to one lucky winner!!

Rules:
1. You must be a follower of my blog to enter the giveaway
2. Simply comment on this post telling me your favourite perfume!
3: Leave your email address in the post so I can contact you if you win!

The giveaway will close on Monday 4th June at 12:00am GMT and the winner be chosen by random and announced here on my blog.

Good Luck!

Lolita Lempicka will be available exclusively in House of Fraser stores nation-wide from June 2012.

Parrot Island

Vest: Primark
Bandeau: Primark
Disco Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: New Look
Bag: Matalan
Necklace: Topshop
Headband: New Look (old)

I've definitely been taking advantage of the lovely weather this week by doing a few outfit photo sessions! we've all been waiting for the sun to put his hat on for what seems like forever now and let's face it, we never know when he's going to go back into hiding again, so I've been loving wearing my summery clothes finally and this is what I wore yesterday!

I showed this parrot print vest in my recent Primark haul video here, along with the bright blue bandeau underneath and I love the combo! I paired it with my much loved AA disco pants and my bright blue wedge sandals from New Look to match the bandeau and I was good to go! I also dug out this old turban style headband that i've had for ages as it matched the colours in the vest so well, it was meant to be!!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Davina McCall at a Garnier event, she's absolutely gorgeous and so friendly! but more on that in a later post.

Finally I just thought I would be really cheeky and ask if you would be really kind and vote for my blog in this years Cosmopolitan Blog Awards. I've never entered before as I haven't felt my blog really deserved to be entered until this year as I've been putting lots of effort into all of my posts, and really enjoying it! saying that though It would be great if you could nominate me under the "established fashion blogger" category, (as i've had the blog for over a year) here's the link, thank you millions if you do and let me know so I can thank you!

That's all for now, lots more coming soon!

April Glossy Box - The Natural Box

When April's Glossy Box arrived at my door last month, I was intrigued to see what goodies we're waiting for me, (as of course I am every month!) I was pleasantly surprised to find a pale, kraft coloured box, and was puzzled by what this months theme could be! As I opened it however, it quickly became obvious by the all natural, bio degrabable, packaging, (and of course the name) that it was the "natural box" I was really excited by this and quickly unwrapped it to see what was inside!

The Contents:

Caudalie - Vinisource Thirst-Quenching Serum

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Caudalie products over the last couple of months, and as I have yet to try out any of their products, was really pleased to see that something from their range was included. The serum is SO light and silky and feels extremely moisturising on the skin. It's suitable for all skin types but it think it would really benefit anyone with really dry skin. I've been using it when my skin feels extra tight and dry and it works a treat! I also love the smell, it has a very subtle lemony, citrus scent.

INIKA Cosmetics - Certified Organic Lip Liner

I received the colour: 04 - Nude Delight, which is a very soft, pinky beige with a slight shimmer. I think it would work well with a lot of lip colours as it's a natural colour that could be blended nicely. I don't often wear lip liners myself, but the colour is so pretty and the pencil is really soft and easily glides on.

Monu Professional Skin Care - Rosewood Reviving Mist

Monu products have been featured quite a lot in beauty boxes over the last year, but this particular one has to be my favourite. I love refreshing facial mists, and this one is perfect. The natural essential oils used in this product include, Lemon, rosewood, clove and clary sage, rosewood being one of my favourites. We received a pretty large 100ml bottle and I think this is going to be perfect to refresh my skin in the summer (if it ever comes!) and I'll also be trying it out over my make up as a fixing spray.

Figs & Rouge - Lip Balm

Probably my favourite out of all the products (although there are some real winners this month). I have a slight obsession with lip and body balms and was very excited to add this one to my collection. I've never tried a Figs & Rouge balm, and before trying it, was under the impression that it would be quite hard and waxy, (that sort of Burts Bees consistency) but I was wrong! In the tin it has almost a rough texture to it, but it applies so smoothly and feels more like a lip gloss than a sticky balm. The scent of this one is peppermint & tea tree. I've said before that mint is not my favourite scent in lip products as is makes me feel like my lips are burning! This one however, smells quite strong but doesn't give you that tingly sensation on the lips.

Philip B - Styling Gel

This is probably the product that I've tried the least out of all of them. I don't really use gel type styling products in my hair, but if you're looking for something new to give you volume, texture and definition, then it could well be worth giving a go. I think I might hand this one over to the boyfriend to try, as it has a rather manly scent in my opinion too!

So that's my round up of April's box. And while i'm here i'd like to wish GlossyBox a very happy 1st birthday! i'll be celebrating with you all tomorrow evening!! Excited!! Congratulations on a fabulous first year of beautiful boxes, and interesting concepts and themes that continue to surprise and delight us all! Keep up the good work GB! x

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer!

FTBC Vest . Skirt . Wedges . Necklace - c/o River Island

Hello lovelies! I feel as though i'm always apologising for not posting recently. But lately my life has gone from busy to insane! I've just had no time! sorry, sorry, sorry! But more about that in another blog post!

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by River Island. They're one of the fabulous retailers on the British high street who support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, which is the flagship campaign of the charity; Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Each year River Island come out with some fabulous vest designs that not only look amazing, but of which 30% of the proceeds go to the charity.

I was lucky enough to be asked to style an outfit around one of the vests, and i'm really pleased with the results!

The 100% cotton tank tops are soooo incredibly soft and comfy, and have the words "fabulous" or "amazing" emblazoned on the front. I think they'll be perfect for the festival season teamed with your fave pair of denim shorts and flip flops.

For my outfit, I decided to glam the vest up a bit with a wrap maxi skirt, long peace sign necklace and these to die for caged wedges! all of which are in store now at River Island.

I'm so grateful I got the chance to style this outfit, and do my tiny bit to help promote the cause.
I sure we have all been touched by this terrible illness at some point in our lives, whether it's a family member or a friend, it's a devastating disease and we can all do our bit to help fight it.

Check out the vest here
