As a result of the PHEF Supporting Membership Campaign, donations, and a fantastic Safari Auction this year, PHEF has raised $86,250 for the Placer Hills schools! The money has been designated to go to both of the school libraries, $46,250, technology on both campuses, $20,000, and the counseling program at both campuses, $20,000. Thank you to all the wonderful supporters of PHEF who donated their time and dollars to support education in our community! A special thanks to Bret McCord for chairing the auction this year and Kathy Ito who offered her leadership as PHEF President.
What a fantastic and supportive community we live in!
160 community members got wild for education at PHEF’s Safari! Dinner Auction at Winchester Country Club on March 2nd. While a few receipts and expenses continue to trickle in, preliminary numbers show the event netted around $65,000!
Proceeds from the event will help preserve library services and other educational programs at Sierra Hills and Weimar Hills Schools in the 2012-2013 school year.
What an unbelievable community we live in where so many generous people embrace the Foundation’s mission to help insure 1,000 area school children receive a quality education they deserve.
Heartfelt thanks to all the fantastic donors, sponsors, advertisers, and volunteers who made this event such a great success.
People definitely got Wild for Education last Friday night – in more ways than one – at PHEF’s Safari! Dinner Auction at Winchester Country Club.
Attendees really showed their wild side in helping to preserve library services at Sierra Hills and Weimar Hills School next year, by pledging approximately $20,000 in under 10 minutes!
Final proceeds from the event will be available shortly.
Heartfelt thanks to all the attendees, volunteers, donors, and sponsors who made this event a truly unforgettable and amazing experience.
Kathy Ito, PHEF President
