Timezone from IP address

I have a text file containing about 100 IP addresses. How can I find out the timezone the IP address relates to?

I don't think this has anything to do with DNS, and has more to do with determining which country an IP address range belongs to. To determine the country, simply search the forums for "address country" or something similar, as this question has been answered lots of times previously. With that information, it shouldn't be too hard to determine timezones.

Thanks.

BTW USA is a "country" according to IP>country lookup but USA has 6 timezones so your interpretation of my question is not completely accurate.

Actually, I'm told that you can pretty much narrow it down to the city/zip code for Canada/US/Mexico, so you shouldn't have too much trouble determining the time zone from this info.

Try the IP-Country-City dabatabase from this site. You can use the Country + City information to lookup timezone (available for free).

Send a message via AIM to fritzw
Visualtrace.com has a (free) visual trace applet which should tell you everthing you need to know about IP location.
