Neutrogena Signs Emerging New Talent to Represent the Brand Actress Vanessa Hudgens to Appear in National Advertising Campaign LOS ANGELES, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- A leading manufacturer of premium skin, hair and cosmetics products, Neutrogena Corporation today announced that actress Vanessa Hudgens will act as the newest spokesperson for the brand. "Vanessa Hudgens has an energetic, dynamic personality that will truly complement the spirit of Neutrogena. We are pleased to welcome her to our team," says Neutrogena President, North America, Jim Colleran. Trained in piano, dance and voice, the native Californian launched her dynamic career in musical theatre at the young age of eight, and has appeared in such notable productions as The King & I, Damn Yankees and Evita, to name only a few. It wasn't long before her talents were recognized and she made her feature film debut, alongside Holly Hunter and Evan Rachael Wood, in the much talked about Thirteen. She continued her foray into film by co-starring in the action-packed Thunderbirds, as well as became a recurring guest star on the Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zach & Cody. In 2006, Ms. Hudgens co-starred in her truly breakout role in the Disney Channel's sensational movie High School Musical, for which she obtained much praise and notoriety. It also earned her a nomination for Choice Breakout Star at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. Ms. Hudgens just completed filming High School Musical 2: Sing It All or Nothing!, which is scheduled to be released later this year. Not one to sit still, Ms. Hudgens also recorded her first solo album, V, in the fall of last year. Though the "V" stands for Vanessa, the singer/actress admits it also stands for variety, as the CD is chocked full of various genres, from pop to rock, R&B to dance music. Her first hit video, "Come Back to Me" premiered on MTV's TRL, while she launched her first music tour last fall, alongside the Cheetah Girls. As a new spokesperson for Neutrogena, Ms. Hudgens will be featured in both national TV and print campaigns. She joins fellow Neutrogena spokespersons Kelly Preston, Susie Castillo, Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panettiere, Julie Bowen, Kristin Kreuk and Paola Rey, each of whom will continue in their role as Neutrogena representatives. Interview with Dynamite:
DYNAMITE: How has life been since High School Musical launched? Vanessa: Crazy! Zac: We never had any idea that it would do this well. Vanessa: Yeah! DYNAMITE: Is it hard to leave your houses with out being spotted by your enormous fan-base? Vanessa: Actually, it isn't that bad! I love seeing all my fans and signing autographs. It's makes being an actor even better! Zac: Exactly. We haven't had an encounter yet that wasn't something we'll all always remember. Vanessa: One time, we [Vanessa and Zac] went out for lunch on one of our lunch breaks [when shooting HSM]. We weren't really sure what the best place to go was and Kenny [Ortega, the director] pointed out this little café. Zac: Oh yeah! And on the way there I saw this CD store. Vanessa: He dragged me in there. [she grins] I guess there was a celebrity there for the day, signing autographs, we didn't know! Zac: The whole room was silent! Until this one little girl slowly raised her finger and said quietly, "VANESSA HUDGENS!!! OMIGOD!!!" We bolted outta there as fast as possible and ran to my car. Vanessa: It was crazy!!! But soo sweet! DYNAMITE: Do you think all of this fame will ever get to your head? Vanessa: Oh no! Zac: Definitely not. DYNAMITE: So, you've started filming High School Musical 2? Vanessa: Well, not just yet. We are into rehearsing a lot right now. Zac: Learnin' the moooooves. DYNAMITE: Do you have any plans to film outside of Disney? Zac: I just finished filming Hairspray. Vanessa: But I'm just working on my vocals right now, filming like a big movie for New Line Cinema is totally not in the bag right now! I've got way too much on my plate right now. DYNAMITE: After High School Musical 2, did you hear the rumors about yourselves? Zac: Oh yeah, I read in a magazine one day, when I was standing in the check-out, that Vanessa's parents were getting divorced! Vanessa: Sad thing is, he believed it! Zac: I dropped my stuff and ran out of the store to call Vanessa. She thought I was crazy and put her mom on the phone. Vanessa: My mom bursted out laughing at him, it was total 'Zac Moment'. DYNAMITE: You know you one 'Best Chemistry' at the Teen Choice Awards last year, and sitting right now I can tell you both have great chemistry together. Is Zanessa an item off-camera? Zac: Zanessa? Vanessa: [giggles] Like Brangelina! Zac: [laughs] Vanessa: Nooo! We're just really close friends. DYNAMITE: What about you, Zac? Are you dating Ashley Tisdale? Zac: No! We're just friends too. All of the HSM cast, we're all just friends! Vanessa: Yeah, exactly! Zac and Luc [Lucas Grabeel, co-star] are deffinitly not together! Zac: [laughs] Nope. DYNAMITE: Are either of you dating anyone? Zac: As of now, I'm single. Vanessa: Me too! DYNAMITE: Will there ever be a romance between Troyella? Zac: Troyella? Vanessa: [laughs] You'll have to wait for the sequel [High School Musical 2] before we tell you. DYNAMITE: What about Zanessa? Vanessa: We're just friends, really. Zac: But who knows what the future holds. DYNAMITE: We've heard rumors about a lot of Zanessa lip-action, care to clarify? Zac: [laughs] Lip-action! Vanessa: [laughs] Well no! We did kiss a few times at the end. Zac: Yeah, Corbin [Bleu] missed his cue. Vanessa: Like 10 times! Kenny [Ortega, director] would call Corbin in, but he would miss it everytime! So, when Gabriella and Troy leaned in for the kiss there was no one stopping them! Zac: [laughs, grins] So they went for it.
