Devices

To use b-mobile, please ensure that you satisfy one of the following requirements:

  • Your mobile carrier in your home country has an international roaming agreement in place with NTT DOCOMO Inc. or
    Your device has the appropriate Government certifications (Type Approval) for use in Japan.

Futher, please note that your device must meet the following technical requirement or it will not support a b-mobile SIM.

  • Your device must support W-CDMA Band 1 (2100MHz) or Band 6 (800MHz)
  • Your device must be SIM Lock Free.

* Please note that not all devices that meet the above requirements can support a b-mobile SIM card. Please see below for an abridged list of supported devices and click here for full list(Japanese only).

Setting

How to setup your b-mobile SIM for iOS:

  1. Tap the Settings icon
  2. Select "General"
  3. Select "Network"
  4. Enable 3G: On
    Cellular Data: On
    Data Roaming: Off
    Select "Cellular Data Network" after confirming the above settings
  5. Enter the following settings:
    APN: bmobile.ne.jp
    User name: bmobile@fr (1GB Prepaid)
          bmobile@U300 (14Days Prepaid)
    Password: bmobile

■ If you cannot connect even after entering the above settings, your device may not be registering the new settings correctly. Please reset your network settings and enter the above information again.
To reset your network settings: tap Settings → General → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Once your device has restarted, please enter the above information again.

How to setup your b-mobile SIM for Android Devices.

  1. From the "Settings" menu, tap "Wireless and networks"
  2. Tap "Mobile networks" and select "Access Point Names"
  3. Press the "Menu" key and select "New APN"
  4. Enter the following settings:
    APN: bmobile.ne.jp
    User name: bmobile@fr (1GB Prepaid)
          bmobile@U300 (14Days Prepaid)
    Password: bmobile
    Authentication type: CHAP or PAP
  5. Press the "Menu" key and select "Save".
  6. Tap circular image (button) next to the new Access Point Name you created to select it
