A new service from the mobile operator O2provides the subscribers in Germany higher levels of customer service and protection for their cell phone content. In cooperation with the software company Cellebrite - a the leading provider of cell phone synchronization and management systems, both companies announced the deplyment of UME-36 devices in all shops of Telefónica O2Germany.
So in O2 shops throughout Germany, customers can now transfer their telephone content automatically from one mobile to another in a few minutes with Cellebrite's UME-36. From April, this new service is already available free of charge to all O2 subscribers in around 1000 retail outlets throughout Germany. The service is called O2 My Contacts.
Cellebrites UME-36 is a stand-alone phone memory transfer and backup solution that transfers all forms of content, including pictures, videos, ringtones and SMS, as well as phonebook contacts data between a wide range of mobile phones, smart phones and PDAs.
"Everyone looks forward to getting a new mobile phone, if it weren't for the tiresome process of typing in numbers", says Thorsten Haeser, Vice President of Sales at Telefónica O2 Germany. "With O2 My Contacts, our customers no longer need to think about it at all, since the data transfer takes place immediately in the shop".
