Baggage: Politics: Nonprofit: The Many Lives of …

A tale of two signs and another Krazy Witch Hunt misrepresentation…

An observation by a bystander about a Mallery sign placed in front of Stephen Kings Office in Susanville,

“THIS IS ONE DESPERATE DUDE. AND HE WANTS TO BE A JUDGE”

Attorney Stephen King is also a candidate for the Lassen County Superior Court Judge

JUDGMENT DOES MATTER

The problem with the statement and optics is that this sign is not in front of Mr. King’s office.

Look at this picture. There is no doubt that the political sign is in front of a particular property…

JUDGMENT DOES MATTER!

The location of the sign, above, is in front of an unregistered 501 (c)(3) corporation which is not permitted to be involved in politics.

Whose judgment is worse?

As Jancie (aka Eileen) Spencer would say “This woman couldn’t find a fact if it was super glued to her ass”.

FPPC Warns Supervisor Larry A Wosick

On June 16, 2012, the Fair Political Practices Commission found that Lassen County 3rd District Supervisor, Larry A Wosick, violated the Political Reform Act. This action was related to the period January 31 to April 10, 2012. Obviously overlooked were the radio ads of December 2011.

Ultimately he received a warning letter for his noncompliance.

Nothing new for Mr. Wosick. He rarely, if ever, files his disclosure forms by the due date and one can only wonder about their accuracy.

Facts Are Tough

Sometimes you simply need to accept the facts as they are.

Will any of this be available under ObamaCare?

Hanson Recall Fails

The recall against Jack Hanson has failed!!! (that was easily predictable)

What is Supervisor Larry Wosick going to do now. His only weapon, threat, has been diminished along with his reputation. Good ole Couldn’t Get It Done Larry.

Wait until the local Tea Party actually takes a moment to look at this guy’s record and rhetoric. They may even discover that he is not actually one of them.

Natural Gas and the General Fund – Is Something Missing

How many times has the lct run an editorial telling the public that they provide an important service to the public by attending and reporting on city council meetings? I suppose that it happens at least once a year.

I read an article on the front page of the October 25, 2011 edition of the paper – Natural gas revenue insulates budget – which actually reads like a press release.

Here are two important statements

The Susanville City Natural Gas project is warming up the finance director’s budget book.

[snip]

Profiri said it is a good thing the natural gas is generating revenue because the city needs to increase the general fund.

I wonder if the staff writer will do a follow-up article explaining the importance of these statements. I know that this article appears to sound reasonable but it is based upon theories that are fraught with risk.

What makes this article even funnier is that not that long ago lct was telling everyone that the natural gas utility was at risk and may not be able to refinance. Wow, times sure have changed.
