Profile & Research Interests
Prof Yoshiaki Ito is Yong Loo Lin Professor & Director of ORI. He is also Professor & Principal Investigator at the IMCB, as well as Professor, Department of Medicine, NUS.
His area of Research Interest - Elucidation of the molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis. He discovered the RUNX "family" of genes which are developmental regulators and heavily involved in many types of cancer.
His specialised expertise lies in molecular oncology and tumor virology.
