Wakako Kamiyama was born in Tokyo, Japan and began studying the piano at the age of four. Her studies began at the Music Preparatory School of the Tokyo College of Music. From 1990–9 she won several prizes such as the Japan Classic Music Competition, the Japan Piano Teachers Association Audition and the PITNA Piano Competition.

She came to London in 2004 after graduating from the Tokyo College of Music High School and completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music, where she studied piano with Andrew Ball and accompaniment with Julian Jacobson.

In 2006, she won 1st prize in the Contemporary Piano Music Competition at RCM which gave her increased interest and opportunities to perform contemporary music.

She is currently in first year of the MMus Performance Programme at the Royal College of Music and studies piano with Andrew Ball and Harpsichord with Jane Chapman. She has also been expanding her contemporary repertoire in both solo and duo pieces, and has given frequent concerts in the UK and Japan.

Kimon Parry is in his fourth year as a Foundation Scholar at the Royal College of Music studying clarinet with Richard Hosford. Kimon attended the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music studying with Elizabeth Drew, and in his final year became principal clarinet of the JRAM Symphony Orchestra. He has travelled with the English Schools’ Orchestra during a successful tour of Australia in 2003 and also became a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain in 2004.

Within the RCM Kimon has played with the Sinfonietta, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra under conductors such as Janos Furst, Andrew Litton, Peter Stark, Christopher Warren-Green and John Wilson, and was recently selected to participate in the ENO/RCM side by side scheme. An experienced chamber musician, Kimon has performed with various ensembles at Buckingham Palace and Mansion House, and with the Pally Trio, was awarded top prize at the North London Music Festival. Outside of college life, Kimon performs regularly with the Orpheus Sinfonia and the Bridgewater Sinfonia, and has received masterclasses from Michael Collins, Anthony Pay and Mark Van de Weil. Solo performances have included concerts at Regent Hall, the RCM Britten Theatre and Bishopsgate Institute, and recent successes include winning the RCM Edward and Helen Hague Senior Woodwind Prize in 2008.

The church of St. Dunstan in the West dates back to circa 1070 AD, and the present building was completed in the early 19th century.
